I have five of these jumbo boxes and six cats. I scoop once a day and twice a day. They usually last for at least four months before becoming dingy. It's critical to keep the litter boxes full of litter. It's a lot easier to scoop than it is to scoop plastic. Most urine clumps simply pop off the bottom after I pound the box on the floor a few times (like a cake pan). Because I have one cat who sprays high, the litter boxes fit perfectly inside a 58 quart sterlite box. For years, I've relied on these. It's so much more convenient than having to clean plastic litter boxes on a weekly basis!
Kevin comes with two litter boxes in one package. It was money well spent. I usually purchase two (2) two-packs for a total of four (4) boxes.
No, there's no need for a liner. I've been using these for years and only these, and it's a huge time saver and a lot more sanitary. When the boxes start to get grungy, I simply toss them out. I haven't kept track of how long it lasts, but I'm guessing it's around three months. br>For the largest size boxes, it could take up to four months. I scoop the contents of the litter box into a small trash baggie (size 4 gallon) and place it in a Dekor Plus diaper pail. It won't smell for at least four days, which means I won't have to leave the apartment every day to get to the outdoor trash can. br>Excellent. href="https:">href="https:"> http://smile.amazon.com/ com/gp/product/B00147D4H4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title com/gp/product/B00147D4H4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title com/gp/product/B UTF8 ie=UTF8 ie=UTF8 ie= psc=1

These two items are purchased by us. Subscribe and Save for additional savings on Nature's Miracle Jumbo Disposable Litter Boxes. We think they're a good deal at under $8 for the two of them. Previously, in between changing the litter, I was washing our two kittens' plastic litter boxes. In addition to the time commitment, bending over to scrub them was difficult on my back. Because the ammonia odor seeps into the plastic and one of our kittens scratches a lot, I knew I'd have to replace them soon. br>br>We buy unscented litter because it's better for cats' sensitive noses, and because it's made with baking soda, it helps keep odors at bay. Although they are nearly as expensive as new plastic boxes and do not last as long, I prefer them because they are biodegradable. It's also a nice convenience to be able to throw the litter into the box at the same time. Made in the United States of America. br>br> When they first arrive, I use a sharpie to draw a line inside each box at 2 and 3 inches (slightly OCD, haha) so that it's easy to eyeball that they're kept at the recommended amount for our litter. .
I bought a couple of small ones for a new kitten, but the other cats have already claimed them as beds before I could even fill them with litter. br>br>For the jumbo size, I attached some ABS plastic strips to the edge of another box and cut a door. The strips keep the top on by friction, which at the very least keeps our more energetic cats from dumping all of the litter while the dig to China is underway.
I've tried using various plastic litter boxes for our three cats (ages currently range from eight to kitten) over the years, but I've never been completely satisfied because I always throw them out after six to twelve months. Our cats are heavy scratchers on the sides, and no matter how many times I empty, clean, and sanitize them before refilling them, they always start to smell bad. As a result, I decided to give them a shot. I like that they're disposable (rather than made of plastic) and landfill-friendly. The jumbo size is ideal for multiple cats, is easy to get into for kittens, and has a strong enough side wall to keep most of the litter contained. Instead of topping off the litter, I can just throw away the entire litter box with the old litter inside when it's time to change it out in a few months. We use these with Precious Cat Ultra Premium Clumping Cat Litter and it works great for us.
WHERE DID I GET MY THINGS: br>The litterbox is jumbo-sized. 2 per package WHICH IS WHY I PURCHASED IT: br>br>WHICH IS WHY I PURCHASED IT: br>br> br>I've always known that you should have an emergency kit for your cats, but it's always been one of those things that I said to myself, "I'll do it later. " "br>br>After seeing so many Tennesseans lost in the recent fire, I was inspired to finally put one together for my three cats. Of course, an emergency kit doesn't have to be for something so major. You never know what will happen, so I'd rather be ready just in case and never need it than need it and not have it. Litter boxes are a big deal in my house because I have three cats. Despite the fact that I have multiple litter boxes, each cat clearly prefers to use the largest--a large plastic storage tote into which I cut an entrance. Litter boxes should, in theory, be 1 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 According to cat behaviorists, you should have 5x the length of your cat, so I wanted something BIG. This was the biggest litterbox of its kind I could find, and it had the best reviews. It was for this reason that I selected it. BR>BR>FIRST IMPRESSIONS: BR>BR>FIRST IMPRESSIONS: BR>BR>FIRST IMPRESSIONS: br>br>SIZE – br>I was pleasantly surprised by how large the box is, even though I read the measurements before purchasing. It's small enough to carry around, but big enough to hold my cats. If necessary, you could easily store it in the floorboard of a car while traveling. br>br>For reference, I've attached photos of it next to my grown adult cat, who is about the size of a medium-sized dog. QUALITY- br>br> br>IT IS SO MUCH STRONGER THAN I HAD EXPECTED! The thickness of each box astounds me. Although I'm only using it as an emergency kit, I can see how it could easily be used as a regular litterbox. It has the appearance of thick papier-mâché. The outside is made of papier mâché, while the inside is smooth. I've taken a few close-up shots so you can judge for yourself. I wish I could demonstrate how strong it is with a photograph. PRICES- br>br> br>Now that I've seen the boxes in person, I understand why they're so expensive and believe it's completely justified. br>br>PURCHASE- br>Because I'm storing it in a closet with other emergency supplies, such as canned cat food, I can't say much about it. To be honest, I'm hoping I'll never need it. The box appears to be excellent, but I hope I will never need it. br>br>I CAN SAY that if I decided to take my babies on a road trip, I would not hesitate to use this, and if I didn't have so many cats, I would happily use it as an everyday litterbox. The quality persuades me that it will be useful. br>br>Size, quality, and texture information can be found in the attached photos.
I've been ordering these for about six months and I'm really pleased with them. They're a nice size and help with odor control. When I went to re-register for the first time a few months ago, I was pleasantly surprised I noticed they've more than doubled in price since my last order, and while I love this product, I know I can get similar options for a lot less at my local grocery store.
