Questions & Answers

Is the bottle made of glass? Herbs in plastic bottles do not make me happy. ?

Thank you for your question,br>br>Hello there,br>br>Thank you for your question,br>br> br>br>All of our tinctures are packaged in a BPA-free PET plastic bottle. We've taken every measurable step to ensure the herbs remain safe and effective within the bottles they're stored in, and none of the formulas we use have a high acidity content, so there won't be any leeching into the product. They keep their potency for three years and are completely safe to use. This packaging has also lasted five years. br>br>I hope you find this information to be useful! My dropper and lid both appear to be coated in a thick black grease-like substance. Is this a typical situation?

It is, in fact, typical. I believe it is simply a build-up of residue that has no bearing on how the product is used.

What is the shelf life of a 2 oz bottle?

Hello there, and thank you for your inquiry! br>br>Because this supplement is given based on your pet's weight, the duration of the bottle is determined by that. The bottle would last about 118 days for a cat of average size (10 lbs). If your pet weighs less than 10 pounds, it will last longer; if they weigh more than 10 pounds, it will last less time.br>br>Please let us know if we can help you further. Hello, can I put the drops in my cat's food or do they have to be swallowed whole?

You can put it in the food, but you'll need to make sure he eats it all. I found it easier to just squirt it into the side of his mouth, but he was the most cooperative cat I've ever had.

This product kept our kitty alive for a long time
5/5

Quick summary: We were pleased with the results of this product. Keep an eye on your cat while using these drops because your results may vary. br>br>Here's the long version: br>br>Hyperthyroidism affects Tigger, our older cat. In October of 2016, it was first noticed. br>br>He gradually stopped eating in September - He was hungry and *interested* at mealtimes, putting his face in the food bowl, but he wouldn't / couldn't eat. He ate some of our human food but not much of our cat food. We initially assumed he was having tooth problems and tried a variety of (softer) foods, but they were ineffective. I made an appointment for him to see a dentist, but We took him to the vet because he had lost a lot of weight in a few days and was still not eating. The following is the diagnosis: thyroid hyperthyroidism We needed to get him eating because the vet said he was too weak for dental work (or much of *anything*). br>br>According to Vet, a thyroidectomy (partial removal) was the treatment of choice for a long time, but that procedure is no longer being performed (by surgeons or clinics). Everyone has had a treatment with radioactive iodine - Basically, they inject a precise amount of radioactive iodine into the thyroid, where the radiation destroys a portion of the organ. To allow the radiation to fade, you must confine your cat for several weeks and store their feces for 90 days. It will set you back around $1500. Both in terms of cost and ordeal, this is a no-no. br>br>However, before we could (possibly) subject Tigger to such stress, we needed to restore his health, so. br>br>Vet gave us little pink pills that may help with the thyroid problem, but we should be aware of side effects such as severe facial itching and scratching. The meds *worked*, and Tigger began to eat more nutritiously, particularly the Science Diet. However, after a few weeks, he began scratching his face and developed a thick, waxy build-up. in the back of his head We got him some steroids to help him heal the damage he was causing himself, but we couldn't keep him on them for long. br>br>I was looking for alternatives to surgery or radiation treatment when I came across reviews of this product, which stated that it works *occasionally* - That should come as no surprise; everyone's situation is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another. So I placed an order for a bottle to try with Tigger. br>br>At the beginning of November, I began giving him one drop for every two pounds he weighed, for a total of four drops (he weighed a little less than eight pounds). The results were almost instantaneous: He became enthralled by his usual fare and began to attack it with zeal. br>br>Through trial and error, I discovered that he dislikes the flavor of the drops *full strength* - If I just drip it on his food, he'll reject it after a few bites of the part where the drops were. I've been making a "gravy" by mixing warm water with the residue in the bottom of a can of food and stirring in the drops, then adding it to his food with great success. As a result, his salmon pate ends up swimming in gravy or broth with the drops mixed in. It appears to be working, at least in terms of keeping him able to eat, in good spirits, and regaining some weight. br>br>ON THE OTHER HAND - One of the side effects of hyperthyroidism, according to the vet, is a ravenous appetite, and Tigger appears to be heading in that direction. Breakfast, second breakfast (30 minutes later), elevenses, brunch, lunch, second lunch, dinner, second/third/fourth dinner (whatever he can persuade us to eat). He's not regaining all of his weight, either. There aren't nearly as many cats as there once were. br>br>Now it's June of 2017, and he's been getting the drops since November of last year. We'll take him back to the vet in a few days to have his blood numbers checked again, and hopefully he'll be fine. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> We finally lost Tigger in October of this year. In October of 2016, he was in bad shape, and I credit these drops with keeping him alive for the next three years. I consider him to be a success story because he was having a good time until the last few weeks. We still miss him (it's August 2020 now). These have to be some serious drops.

My 15-year-old male looks and feels a lot better
5/5

He continues to consume copious amounts of food and liquids. I wasn't expecting a natural product to work so well, but my male 15-year-old looks and feels much better after only 6 weeks. He's still eating and drinking a lot, but his face isn't as desperate, and he's less irritated. His fur has improved, and his shoulders have regained some bulk. He's gained a few pounds. He used to look like a frail old man, but now he resembles the kitten he used to be. Now that he's feeling better, he's allowing me to pick him up again, and he's begun exploring the backyard. This works if your cat has hyperthyroidism, and I'm not exaggerating. Please double-check that your symptoms are due to hyperthyroidism rather than hypothyroidism, as the natural medicine you choose will have an impact on the outcomes.

This stuff is extremely beneficial
5/5

(Updated 12/28/2017)br>Harry has been working on this for the past five months. He's doing a fantastic job. He's no longer having mood swings, he's not drinking nearly as much water, and his routine has returned to normal. He's also regained weight and appears to be in much better shape. He appears to be in a lot better shape as well. When we have visitors, he even socializes with them. I'm glad I gave it a shot; Harry seemed to enjoy it. It's possible that it won't work for all cats, perhaps because their thyroid levels are too low. But it's definitely worth a try. My 17-year-old cat was rapidly losing weight and was a complete mess, so I'm glad I gave it a shot. br>br> I tried this stuff instead of using medication that I didn't trust. I started with a small dose and gradually increased it until he was on a full daily dose. There will be no more random attacks on the dog, and there will be no more mood swings. He's drinking less, gaining weight, and not peeing as much as he used to, and his fur is also looking better. In the short time I've been using it, I must say that it has made a significant difference for him. I'm glad I went ahead and purchased it! My Harry, who was born in this house, would be missed. It's his first and only home.

It's fantastic! When I was on the vet's hyperthyroidism prescription, I was watching my cat deteriorate
5/5

She's only been on Thyroid Support Gold for a month, but I've noticed that she's gained some weight. I'm really looking forward to seeing her regain her thyroid health and lose weight. Thank you very much.

I had to slightly increase the dose at first, but I am now at the recommended level
5/5

I added it about a week ago. Cat was taking Methimazole 5 mg twice a day when she was 16 years old. Her thyroid level decreased from 11 to 4 as a result of this treatment. I was just within normal limits, but I wanted to try something natural because I had successfully used a natural product with similar ingredients on my own mother's hyperthyroidism. True, it takes time (Cat has been on Thyroid Support for a month and is finally seeing full positive results). I had to slightly increase the dose at first, but I am now at the recommended level. I added Calming Care about a week ago (and I only have to give 1/2 of the recommended dose), and it has finally provided complete relief for my cat. My cat used to be constantly meowing for food, which, while I adore her, drove both my husband and me insane, as well as making us feel terrible that she couldn't relax. I also use Kidney Support Gold because she has kidney disease, and I follow the veterinarian's recommendations for KD food (despite the fact that I am aware that there are differing viewpoints). I don't think it's necessary to put her through blood tests right now, as long as she's comfortable (which she appears to be), and she's much more receptive to my petting her now. Pet Wellbeing deserves a big thank you.
