During the past few years, I have bought from a wide range of suppliers. Any issue I have had with them has never come up. Promptness has always been a feature of the service. In their own right, chews are harder than they would be if you bought them in a vet's office, but they do not seem to mind and are still devouring them. Since prices do vary quite a bit among suppliers, I usually choose the one with the lowest price. You may find that buying two 120 count containers is more cost-effective than buying one 240 count container. Visit it to see what I mean.
In your new container, they do appear to be dryer. I received this new package of supplements just now, and you are right, they do feel different. Though he ate them still the first time out of the new container, he was reluctant to try them out again.

A bag purchased from another supplier was the same, dried out like saw dust. I tried another bag from this supplier, and they were the same, dried out like saw dust. I just can't believe it! My direct contact with Bayer was via phone. I can tell you right now, it is not your I was told that Bayer changed the manufacturing process, but they are still made and fortified with the same ingredients. You should feed them to your dog if you have any! A veterinarian suggested Dasuquin after talking to me on the phone. I see they are available on Amazon why not try them out?.
When they started them on this years ago, the item arrived in the white bin, I was able to tell the difference immediately. Upon reordering, I noted the packaging had changed, but it was still a Bayer product, and once again the list of active and inactive ingredients was almost identical. Still, there is no end to it! The chews I bought for my dogs are not suitable for them. Whatever they like out of them, as long as they are mixed into their favorite food Walking away from the whole bowl of food is all they do. Therefore, I'm not sure what Bayer did not only by changing the packaging, but also by switching to other brands. A new one is needed, which is a shame.
My grandson's 10 year old Labrador mix was born with twisted front legs, so I use this for him. The taste is terrific for my dog. The medication has been given to Buster since he was 2 years old. Running is not a problem for Buster. Despite his size, he is able to run up and down stairs with ease. His joints should have been a mess when he was little and he should have broken those twisted bones when he was a child. While he doesn't know it, he should have been crippled and disabled. It is definitely a product I would recommend.
This is what I have been giving my dog for a long time. According to him, he readily eats it, which indicates he likes the taste. Changes to the formula seem to be occurring. Prior to that, they tasted a bit greasy, a bit chewy and smooth. These are no longer oily and are crumbly now rather than gritty, which in my book is a positive. There may have been some type of crumbs added now that they are no longer oily. All that I care about is that they help with his arthritis and my dog still likes them.
I want to caution you! The first time I bought this product from my veterinarian, I bought it from another online store after that. The lot # and condition of the lot were provided by me to Bayer. I was very responsive and they agreed that the product was not up to standard. They're sending me a return shipping package and will replace the product when I return the old one. An assistant to their vet product department told me it should not feel "crunchy". Unfortunately, the lead time for this product is about 4 weeks, and it's not available in your area. In my last order of the 120 size, there was no issue.
They should be soft, almost sticky, and moist, but not as soft as bouillon or other Lot of concern aside from that this product **when it is in its proper form** has done wonders for my three older giant and large breed dogs by turning the clock back a few years very quickly when used regularly.
