My rescue dog had bladder stones; the fact that she was rescued is significant because we don't know how long it took her to develop them or whether she had any nutritional history that might have influenced her medical history. The stones were surgically removed and sent to a lab via an open cystotomy. Strucvite was the type of stone they were. Strucvite crystals can be managed nutritionally in many cases, which is both good and bad news. My dog is on prescription C/D food, which requires us to follow a very strict diet. If we do, her urine pH goes straight down the tubes, becoming very alkaline, increasing the risk of infection, which is bad because infection causes the crystals she produces in her urine to clump together and form solid stones. That is precisely what we do not want. While the C/D food helped to raise her pH, it wasn't quite where we wanted it to be for her best urinary health. How did I figure that out? My veterinarian instructed me to collect urine samples and test them with a pH strip. If your dog has ever had stones or is prone to urinary infections, I strongly advise you to do so; the pH strips are also available on Amazon (at a reasonable price). This leads me to the supplements I'm talking about. br>br>I purchased these supplements with my veterinarian's permission. Her pH was finally acidic enough to naturally fight infection after three days on them (I only give her one a day because she's 35 lbs). Her ideal pH ranges from 6 to 7. 5 and 7. She has been UTI and stone free for a year post-op, with the exception of one infection when we relaxed some of our dietary restrictions. Her x- The ray is in perfect condition. I attribute at least some of the credit to these supplements, as they were the ones who finally got us to the pH level we desired. br>br>I know this is a long list, but I'm sure there are other dog families with special dietary requirements out there like ours. Please don't stop producing them. She treats them as a treat and is not allowed to deviate from her diet in any other way.

My daughter had been having accidents on her bed on a regular basis for a while, and I was becoming concerned. I decided to give these a shot because cranberry supplements are frequently prescribed for human kidney infections. So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly. It appears that they are working. I get these from the same company, but they come in round pills. For my furry friends, that peiduct has been fantastic! So, in order to provide more value and make it easier to give the pups these chews, I decided to give them a try. Never again! The pills, which I adore and recommend to every pet owner I meet, but the chews arrived in a dented plastic container (rather than the hard plastic bottle in which the pills are packaged). ) The bottle was open, and inside was a clear Brachs candy-style plastic bag containing the 'chews', which were tied together with a red bread tie! This is not a secure environment. Handling was poor. I would never feed my dogs anything that was packaged in such a suspiciously careless manner.

For the past few years, I've been using this product. My dog has had a couple of bladder infections in the past and was put on anabiotics to treat them. She hasn't had a bladder infection since I started using this product. I also used this on an older dog who had urinary incontinence a few years ago, and it worked great! That nearly completely eliminated her urinary incontinence, and I never had to put her on any prescription medications as a result.

For almost a year, my dog has been suffering from a urinary tract infection. (She's been on antibiotics the whole time. )br>After the first five months, my vet recommended these in addition to her antibiotics. br>I purchased two of these tubs and gave the recommended three chewables per day, every day for a few months, with no noticeable improvement during or after.

If you need to half the dosage due to your animal's weight, I strongly advise using the chew version rather than the tablet! As recommended by her veterinarian, I will definitely repurchase and make this a staple in my dog's diet. They do exactly what they say they're going to do!.

This is an excellent product that I purchased for my cocker spaniel, who was developing UTIs. Two in a month, with two visits to the vet for treatment. She hasn't had another UTI since I started her on these over a year ago! I simply give her one before she eats her dinner, and she considers it a treat!.
