I'm the doctor who came up with the concept for Total- Zymes. Total- Yes, if the itching is caused by poor digestion, which can aggravate allergies, Zymes is a digestive as well as a systemic enzyme product. Over the course of a year, I've had entire kennels not require allergy shots, and the only thing that changed was that they added Total-X to the mix. Total-Zymes and Total-Zymes All of the dogs' food has been supplemented with biotics. No, if the itching is caused by dry skin, fleas, or chemical allergies (such as those caused by cleaners, soaps, or dryer sheets). Skin and coat improvement are common when using zymes to digest fat in the diet. br>John R Taylor ND is a member of the National Democratic Party (NDP).

I'm not a veterinarian, so I'm not sure if these are the right supplements for you (plant-based or not?). ) I'd call or go to your vet with the list to see if they're what you're looking for. I hope you find this information useful.
My only ingredients were "other ingred" maltodextrin and silicon dioxide, which I couldn't use because it contained beet root, and my dog tested positive for beets.

My German Shepherd Malamute mix was diagnosed with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) last year, which means his pancreas does not produce the enzymes needed to digest and absorb the nutrients in his food. I ordered a brand from Amazon, and it worked for about three months before stopping. Logan had dropped from a muscular and healthy 112 pounds to 60 pounds by January of this year, which worried me greatly. I purchased this product because it was my LAST resort before resorting to raw pancreas or euthanasia. I'm so impressed with how well he's doing after only a month on it; none of the other brands have given him half the results he's getting in such a short time: he's gained 5 pounds, stopped having diarrhea, is no longer shedding all the time, is no longer depressed, is no longer eating poo, has less itching, and has more energy. He's still hungry all the time, but I think it's because he's so skinny right now. I adore my dog more than anything else in the world, and Total- Thank you for creating such an amazing product, Zymes, which is saving his life!.
This was purchased for our senior dog, who has been suffering from skin problems and recurring yeast infections. I didn't like that the vet put him on antibiotics for 5 weeks, so I used the medicated Vetra Seb shampoo twice a week with a lime sulfur dip until the bottles were empty. The infection has cleared up, but it is reappearing one flaky bald patch at a time, so I'm trying to keep it at bay. Shampoos are being used, but something that works from the inside out is needed as well. Read up on dog skin yeast infections and what other dog owners have had to go through in order to help their pets. This is just one of the items that keeps showing up at work. We've just finished the first jar. It's too early to tell if this will help him or not, and I'll update this review once I see results. I'm hoping it will be successful. This was only one of the items I bought, which also included medicated shampoos. My dog doesn't seem to mind using it, and he doesn't seem to mind the taste. It's as simple as adding one scoop to one cup of dog food. It's a fine pink powder that has almost no odor.
I first purchased this product, along with the probiotics, when I adopted my westie, who had HORRIFIC allergies. He had blotchy red skin with patches missing when I got him, and he threw up on a regular basis 4- 5 times per week is the minimum. As a clinical pharmacist, I was desperate for him to absorb the nutrients he was taking in as quickly and completely as possible, so this type of product was my first thought, and I'm glad it's on the market! I later discovered, after getting a blood allergy test, that he is allergic to chicken (ingredient due to low allergenic profile in almost EVERY dog product), turkey, and beef, in addition to seasonal allergies. Everything is included in this! I wish I'd known about the test sooner. I now know that he can only eat duck and fish proteins. br>I used this product again when I got my senior Rottie, who had extremely proliferative Giardia and worms, to ensure she was getting the most out of her food. It's now a staple in her morning meds (multivitamin, antihistamine, and cranberry powder) in the form of a ham slice. br>These products are beneficial to humans with Crohn's disease/UC, bowel discomfort/constipation, nutritional deficiencies, allergies, and other conditions, so why not our dogs? More research is needed on these agents. Thanks!.
Claim made by the product: br>Now with 16 Different Enzyme Types: This will help pets with digestion, allergies, itching, and painful stiff jointsbr>br>I purchased this for my three dogs, who weigh 5 pounds, 13 pounds, and 30 pounds. Two of them have digestive problems (unexpected vomiting), and the other has allergies that cause terrible yeast infections in the ears. According to the package, one scoop of this powder should be used per cup of food. My dogs eat high-quality food, so one cup per day is not enough for them, especially since they are small dogs. Once a day, I give them a half-scoop of this powder. I've been giving them this product for over a year and haven't noticed any significant improvements in their digestion or allergy issues; in fact, I stopped giving it to the smallest one after a few months of use because she began acting strangely after meals (tipping over like she was drunk). I know it's not a liver shunt because she's six years old, but I'm not sure if it's the powder because her health has been deteriorating in recent months. I'll keep giving it to them until the jar is empty because it doesn't appear to harm the other two. I'm not going to buy it again. Some people have reported their dogs refusing to eat it. My dogs won't eat it if I just sprinkle it on their food, so I put a spoonful of yogurt on top of their food, then sprinkle the powder on top of the yogurt (you could also do this with peanut butter or canned pumpkin).
