I put a quarter teaspoon in his breakfast and dinner. After that, I present Doctor's Best Sam- e 200 mg at night, with a small snack to help you swallow the tablet. Sam, the Doctor's Best- e is for humans, and it comes in an enteric-coated blister pack that you pop out each time you take a dose. It must not be consumed with food. I only gave the Denamarin a single box before switching to Herb Smith and Sam- In July of this year, he was diagnosed with a liver condition, but he's still with me. Note: Even if your dog's liver is in good shape, giving milk thistle to clear the toxins after vaccines, heartworm, and flea medications is a good idea.

My dog eats raw, and other raw feeders as well as non-raw feeders recommended this to me. feeders who eat only raw meat I had no idea how taxing his monthly medication was on his liver. On the back of the bag are instructions for how many scoops to use based on the weight of your dog. In the mornings and evenings, I simply sprinkle two scoops over his food and stir it in. The taste doesn't bother him in the least (and he's a picky dog). This is something I would strongly recommend.

In July of 2017, she was told she had colon cancer. Because it was in one of her lymph nodes, the vet predicted that the cancer would return in four to six months. 6 months. Her surgery was two years ago this August, and she is now cancer-free. She's also probably around the age of sixteen. I know that high liver enzymes, hypothyroidism, pancreatitis, and kidney problems are usually signs of something else, such as Cushings disease, which dachshunds are prone to, but I was relieved to learn that his kidney levels were the lowest they had been since he became ill due to a homemade kidney diet I fed him. His liver enzymes were only a few percentage points above normal. His ALT level had returned to its previous level. His AST level had returned to normal, and his ALP level had dropped to the lowest level in years. My veterinarian was speechless because she had given him only weeks to live and he lived for more than a year. I've tried other brands of Milk Thistle before, but never had such dramatic results. The blood work proved it.

If your cat isn't a fan of prescription liver support, try the following: Grind up a cup or so of your cat's favorite Temptations cat treats. 2 tsp is the recommended amount. 1/8 cup of this, mixed with 1/8 cup of 1/8 cup of 1/8 cup of 1/8 cup 1/4 tsps. 2 tsp. milk thistle powder (depending on your cat's weight) a can of Fancy Feast canned food that your cat enjoys Feed 2 hours after your normal feeding time.

Thank you so much for this product; my dog is on thyroid medication and has undergone various procedures and medications as a result of other health issues. Her liver function was abnormally high. br>br> Her lab results came back with a 10% to 15% improvement after sprinkling the milk thistle on her food twice a day for 6 months! It is at least moving in the right direction, despite the fact that it is still elevated. The milk thistle was the only thing we changed, so I'm blaming it for the good news.
