It's one of the most powerful D- forms available. Mannose is readily available, which means it can have a quick effect, often in just a few minutes. Depending on the severity of the infection, this could take up to two days. This is commonly used as a preventative for cats and dogs. It's very effective, and dogs and (often picky) cats adore it!
I bought this twice; the first time there was no "best if used by" date, but the second time it was printed on the white lid's top. This is incredible. I believe it is more effective than the vet's haphazard, large doses of medication. After three days, my kitty was back to normal and playing. Despite the fact that I spend a lot of money on healthy wet and dry foods, he has crystals in his urine. He became drowsy, his third eyelids began to droop, and he became uneasy and weepy. I knew something was wrong when I saw blood in his urine. I spend so much money and time at the vet, and they rarely diagnose or help properly or on the first visit after taking them, and it always costs me a lot of money and time! So I didn't bother this time; I was going to find another vet, but mine and all the others in the area were all booked for weeks. I've given him similar supplements in the past and they've helped him, so I gave this one a shot and noticed a difference right away. I've been putting it in all of my cats' food on occasion, and everything has worked out well. I'll keep a container of this on hand at all times because I have three kitties and another who showed up outside, and the container has lasted over a month so far. It was well worth the money. If you have a kitty with urinary problems, keep this on hand and make sure they're getting plenty of FRESH water and wet food every day! Their food is also changed on a regular basis. As per the instructions, I gave it to her three times per day for three days. She was passing blood in her urine and straining to urinate. I'm relieved that I won't have to force antibiotics down her throat any longer. She didn't even realize it was in her food, despite the fact that she is extremely picky. It's fantastic! My male was huffing and puffing at my female like there was no tomorrow. I figured it had to be her anal glands because she was fixed. I was able to smuggle her in and have a vet tech examine her, but they said they were empty. I'd have to schedule an appointment with the vet. I ordered this for her the next day from Amazon, and I also gave her a cranberry tablet on the first day. For three days, I give this to you three times a day, over food or in water. It's a small amount, and it doesn't bother them when it's mixed in with wet food. He had stopped humping and seemed uninterested by noon or so, and she seemed fine, so I bathed them and we never had a humping problem again. I will, however, bring it up at my next vet appointment. Also, because there is so much stuff and so little is given, I don't see myself buying much unless she has a serious problem, so this should last a long time. BTW - I'm sure it'll be delicious - I simply sprinkle it on top of some wet/canned food and mash it in with a spoon (it vanishes). It's devoured by them. The 6-year-old is extremely picky (he will normally refuse to eat anything he is unsure of until he has sniffed it/checked it out for at least 5 minutes). He is completely enamored with it. There was no hesitation from the start. Also - This, according to our vet, is beneficial to cats who have urinary problems.
I was on the lookout for something to help prevent UTIs after my poor dog got three in six months. My dog has been taking daily pills since she was one year old and rarely complains. However, after three rounds of antibiotics in six months, she began to irritate me, so I wanted something I could sprinkle on her food that she would regard as a treat rather than another medication. After doing some research, I came across this product and decided to give it a shot. The powder is a little thicker than another powder supplement I give her, so it's a little harder to get out of the scooper and doesn't sprinkle as easily over her food, but neither she nor I mind. My dog is a picky eater, but she adores the flavor of chicken. Since starting the supplement in February 2021, she hasn't had a urinary tract infection. For the first few months, I gave her three scoops per day, then cut it down to two scoops per day. The tub appears small, but at 3 scoops per day, it lasted for about three months. Even after lowering her daily dose, she is still free of UTIs. I would strongly advise anyone with a dog who suffers from chronic UTIs to use this product. According to some reviews, this product is used to treat UTIs in dogs, but I do not use it. I use this as a preventative only, not to treat, so I can't say if it actually treats a UTI, but I can attest that it prevents them.
We were also approaching a long weekend with no scheduled appointments. So I ordered this along with a few other cranberry-related items from Amazon, and her constant need to urinate vanished almost overnight. I'm thankful for this product because it made her feel better.
This is a very wet material. However, when I opened the container, it was a different story. The scoop was nowhere to be found. Inside was a light and airy powder. However, in my search for the scoop, I came across this. The powder was compressed as a result of this. As a result, I have no idea what a proper dose is. I'm guessing the compressed powder is a little too much. The scoop is far too big to fit into the container. Mine was bent and forced inside, and prying it loose was difficult. A small scoop is all you'll need. It's completely unnecessary to have such a long handle. I do not recommend this product because the product comes compacted once opened, making it impossible to get an exact dose. take a look around.
