Questions & Answers

What's in the gel, exactly? Thanks! ?

Sorry! To find out the exact ingredients, I'd have to read the package. What I like about this product is that it comes in handy whenever I get a new puppy. Bac Gel is excellent for helping a new puppy adjust to new surroundings, as well as for any puppy or dog that may be upset due to new surroundings, during the introduction of new food, or after returning home from a vet visit. The product aids in the replenishment of good bacteria in the puppy's/dog's tummy/intestines, assisting the puppy or dog in dealing with stressful situations. It's ideal for weaning puppies and settling them into new homes. I've been using this product for a long time and can't say enough good things about it.

What method do you use to apply the gel? Do you put it directly into your pet's mouth or in his or her food, and do you use the entire tube at once? Thank you very much. ?

I believe the dose is the entire tube because these are only 1g. Because my rabbit requires it frequently, I've begun purchasing larger tubes. I usually squirt it on a plate and let him lick it up himself because he enjoys the taste. I've also shoved it directly into his mouth.

Is it going to help a cat who vomits on a regular basis? The cat is already consuming a grain-based diet. There is no cost to you. ?

Benebac is a fantastic character. Raw chicken hearts in a food processor and organic raw chicken are two examples of natural foods to try. Every day, add a quarter teaspoon of taurine powder to your water. Vitamin B12 should be taken on a daily basis, and vitamin D3 should be taken once a week. My cat threw up on a regular basis. For us, commercial cat food, regardless of price or brand, is the equivalent of a McDonald's diet on a daily basis. My cat was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer after I took her to the vet. br>It goes without saying that I bought Dr. Goldstein's book on holistic pet care. My cat's cancer is in remission thanks to proper nutrition and a variety of vitamin/herbal supplements, Benebac for good gut flora, exercise, and weekly trips to her veterinarian for B12 injections, as well as a lot of patience. br>Best of luck, and get your cat to the vet as soon as possible. Commercial cat food, whether grain-free or with grains, is a waste of time.

Will I get 4 g if I purchase this? Is 16g on the way, or is it already here?

The total weight is only 4g. One gram is contained in each tube.

It's what I use to keep my guinea pig from getting stomach upset
4/5

She adores it (whereas she despised the Bene- Powdered probiotic bacteria). These were purchased for my guinea pig, who had recently been prescribed antibiotics. Guinea pigs, in comparison to other animals, have delicate digestive systems that often do not tolerate antibiotics well. These, as well as the powder (also by Bene-) were purchased. Bac). She didn't like the powder (which I sprinkled on her food) and was wary of it. My other guinea pig, her cage mate, was also not fond of the powder, so they didn't eat the food it was sprinkled on. I mixed it with some juice the second time and gave it to her orally through a needle. a syringe that isn't used as much I'm not sure if the powder has a bad flavor or not because she objected when I fed it to her. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they both adored it! I'm sure there are other ways to serve it, but I simply squirt it onto my finger after washing my hands, and my guinea pig licks it off. She rushes to the edge of her cage and begs for it as soon as she sees me put it on my finger. While she was on her meds, I gave her a half to a full tube every day, and then whenever she had soft or unusual stools. If necessary, my veterinarian advised that I administer it on a regular basis. My only gripe is that getting more than half of the gel antibiotic out can be difficult at times. I have mild arthritis, so squeezing out every last drop of antibiotic can be a real pain.

I had been fostering a two-week-old orphaned wild rabbit for about ten days and bought this as a "precaution" to help him digest the KMR
3/5

I gave him a small amount (as directed), and his droppings had turned soft and green in less than two hours. He had mucus and diarrhea within 6 hours. He was dead in less than 12 hours. Bottom line: DO NOT GET THIS FOR A VERY YOUNG OR SMALL ANIMAL, AS THEIR GI SYSTEM MAY BE UNABLE TO HANDLE IT (EVEN IN SMALL AMOUNTS) AND IT MAY KILL THEM. There's a lot of regret in my life right now.

There isn't a date on which it will expire
3/5

On the package, there is no mention of an expiration date. I hesitated to use them because I didn't know how long they'd been sitting in the warehouse. I went ahead and used it anyway, giving some to my hedgehog who had been suffering from diarrhea for several days. The next day, he succumbed to his injuries. Of course, he could have died from other causes (he did have diarrhea, after all), but I threw everything away. I simply couldn't risk giving this to any of my other animals.

Acting that is both fantastic and quick - There's nothing else like it
5/5

I didn't need to consult a doctor, so it was exactly what the doctor ordered. I came across this product while searching for ANYTHING to help control virulent diarrhoea in a small dog I was fostering for a pet rescue about two years ago. She was a tiny little thing fighting for her life, and her bowel issues were making things difficult. She was suffering from a severe case of kennel cough, among other issues. Well, the teeny-tiny creature surprised us all by growing from a weak one pound to a healthy 14 pounds today. She is no longer a foster child; she is mine (we bonded because she spent the first few months of her life tucked inside my shirt). For whatever reason, she is prone to diarrhoea if she becomes overly excited or nervous, if I have a lot of visitors, and/or if the visitors slip her table scraps she shouldn't have - But I'm not concerned because I'm confident that this will resolve the situation. It was, without a doubt, a messy and unpleasant problem that was difficult for both of us in the past. Actually, I'm surprised that this product isn't more well-known among rescuers; it's more of a closely guarded secret, but believe me when I say it works.

It seems to be delicious
5/5

This is a big hit with my guinea pigs! Simple to work with. They lick it off after I squeeze a small amount on my finger. Some of my children enjoy it on their food, while others attempt to extract it by biting the tube's end. It's an excellent activity for family bonding. It's also beneficial to their digestion. br>My vet recommended the brand because one of my piggies had a bacterial imbalance, and we used it in conjunction with the antibiotics she prescribed. Now he's a whole lot better. br>I like that I have to cut the tip off the end of the end under the cap to make sure it's fresh. br>The only disadvantage I see is the small size of the tubes. Because I have six guinea pigs, I must order in bulk. I wish there were more than four tubes in a package.

My rabbits' health is greatly improved as a result of using this product
5/5

My mother rabbit recently gave birth to five young rabbits. She also developed a respiratory infection known as the snuffles at the same time. This can quickly escalate to the point of being life-threatening. Antibiotics were required for a long period of time. This occurred while she was caring for her kittens. Mom's gut flora is passed down to them. This, combined with critical care, solved the issue.

After antibiotics, it helped my cat return to normal
5/5

Antibiotics were prescribed for my cat's infection. Her digestive system was completely out of whack as a result of the antibiotics. She was vomiting and having diarrhea. I squeezed a tube of Bene-Fast after the antibiotics were finished. Bac took a hold of her paw. Her vomiting had stopped after two days, and her stools were normal again. I found it to be very simple to use, and while she gets a little annoyed when I smear something on her paw, the results were fantastic.

This is a must-have for cottontail kit rehabbers
5/5

They arrived in excellent condition and were the perfect size for some cottontails I was raising by hand. Anyone who has worked with cottontail kits knows how important it is to establish a healthy gut flora in order for them to thrive and eat solid foods without them rotting. This worked perfectly for them, and they drank it down without hesitation. I was able to successfully release them using this product and the powdered version I had previously used, knowing that I had given them the best chance of survival.
