Questions & Answers

Can my cat lick the toothpaste off my fingers because it's an enzymatic product? Brushing his teeth is impossible because he despises it?

I'd try a different flavored cat toothpaste, as there are a variety of flavors to choose from. There are some good brushing videos on YouTube as well, such as approaching from behind with the cat facing a mirror. Even if you don't brush, the enzyme will help fight bacteria, and a soft damp cloth wrapped around your finger with toothpaste may be more acceptable in the cat's mouth at first. It's always a positive experience for me when I use it in conjunction with grooming that my cat already enjoys! This is more difficult in the winter when she doesn't require grooming, but I'd rather it be a positive experience for the cat at all times! However, if your cat refuses to lick it, a different flavored cat toothpaste might be a better option!

Is the finger brush as soft as it appears to be? I've been looking for a soft finger brush to replace my old one, but haven't been able to find one. For a small mouth, it must be adaptable! Help! ?

Our cats are always groomed with a fingertip brush rather than a small toothbrush. It's gentle enough to massage the gums and clean the teeth, and it's also more convenient to use. The replacement finger brush is included with each new tube. br>With our three cats, this is a great solution.

Does the toothpaste come in a variety of flavors?

Yes, it has a "malt" flavor to it. When I brush my cats' teeth, they just want to lick the toothpaste off the brush. The flavor is very appealing to them.

All cats will benefit from the malt Sentry Toothpaste! This kit is well worth purchasing because of the Sentry Petrodex tooth paste
4/5

I've found that the malt flavor tooth paste for cats is the best! It is a hit with everyone! For my cats, it has proven to be the most effective cleaning and plaque barrier. I have a couple of senior felines who are great at cleaning my teeth. They enjoy the flavor, and it contains enzymes that aid in breath freshening. There are two tubs in the bathroom. br>br>The reason for four stars is that it is 5 oz and I believe it will last a long time. br>br> br>The tooth brushes included in this kit are not suitable for cats' mouths, and I strongly advise against using them! Get the Kenco Care mini brush ($8), which has a micro head. For comparison, I've included a photo of a Kenco Care Micro Head toothbrush. This malt Sentry Petrodex tooth paste and the Kenco toothbrush cause no problems for my cats! br>br>I hope you and your cats benefit from this review!.

Get a kid's spinbrush and get them started when they're young
5/5

This product has been used to brush the teeth of my cats since they were kittens. (That is the key to success) However, instead of using the provided toothbrush, I use a child's spin toothbrush. We begin by allowing them to feel the vibrations on their cheeks before allowing them to chew on it. I have to keep a close eye on their brushing habits now because they enjoy it so much that they will brush until their gums bleed! My older dog will not participate, but the vet said that as long as I can get some of the product into his mouth, the enzymes will be beneficial compared to no treatment at all. We do this at least once a day, she said, because tarter builds up every 8 hours. When I press the button on the toothbrush to call the cats, they run.

One cat is tolerant, while the other is devoted!   I bought this for my 11-year-old cat, who was having teeth problems, because I know how expensive dental visits at the vet can be, and I wanted to do something to help her out a little
5/5

Brushing her teeth is a chore she despises, but she is willing to put up with it. I've noticed that it's been extremely beneficial to her. At least three times a week is my goal. After that, I got a kitten and decided to get him started on the path to good oral hygiene. He adores the flavor and enjoys licking the brush when he doesn't like getting his teeth brushed. When he sees me brushing the other cats' teeth, he'll chase me around looking for it.

It's something he really enjoys
5/5

After brushing his teeth before bed, a cheerful cat climbs his tree.   To help with this, you can purchase children's toothbrushes with suction cup bottoms. The video hasn't been able to upload for some reason. It's a big hit with Willie. Brushing his teeth twice a day, in the morning and before bed, on the counter of my sink. I'm hoping you'll be able to watch his video.

Remember to brush your teeth as well
5/5

I'm not sure what the tooth paste does other than make brushing a little less painful for the cat. I don't give a damn about how much my cat despises having his teeth brushed. It's gotten a lot better. Before letting him go, I wrapped him in a towel and gave him a 20-second brushing of his back teeth. It was a bloodbath the first couple of times. His teeth were in terrible condition. His gums were no longer bleeding from brushing by the fifth brushing (I brush every three days). His breathing has significantly improved. He curls up on my shoulder and thinks a face bath would be nice while I'm sleeping. I assure you that I despise it, and he used to leave a foul odor behind. He still thinks I should take a bath in the middle of the night, but I don't feel compelled to get out of bed and wash my face. br>I tried the other reviews' method of letting him lick the paste off and then playing with him and the brush. That was a waste of time for me. We don't use it because I don't think he likes the paste. Of course, he dislikes having his teeth brushed as well. We have to do things we don't like every now and then, kitty.

Kitty enjoys paste, but the paint on the tube is easily rubbed off
4/5

We try to avoid putting our pets under anesthetic for dental cleanings as much as possible. Our cat is a good dental patient, so we brush his teeth twice a week with an enzymatic paste and a toothbrush (he likes the taste of this Sentry toothpaste). br>br>The only issue is that the paint on the Sentry tube rubs off onto our fingers (photo). Because we brush our kitty's mouth open with our fingers, this could be dangerous. It's difficult to remove the paint that has adhered to our fingers.

Plaque is removed, and the breath is kept fresh - All it takes is a little licking every night! (It also seems to be delicious!) This is something I've been using on my cat for a long time
5/5

I hardly ever brush my teeth - Every night, I gently squeeze out a few "dollops" and he licks them up (apparently it tastes good to him - It appeals to him. ) br>br>Before I did this, I took him to the vet for a thorough cleaning, which necessitated putting him to sleep, was traumatic, and so on. br>Every year (for several years now), I go to the vet's office, and she says - I'm amazed at how sparkling his teeth are! Keep doing what you're doing, whatever it is! I've never had to pay for another procedure, and my cat has never had to go through the pain and stress of having to go through one! His teeth are practically plaque-free. br>br> He's liberated, and his breath is clean. It only requires a small amount of effort. I get his back teeth with my finger every now and then. br>br>I feed him organic dry and wet food as well, but without this toothpaste, his breath stinks and plaque forms. br>br>This is a product that I strongly recommend.

This is something you must do! A cat's teeth must be brushed
5/5

It will improve your best friend's quality of life while also saving you money. br>This is a nice set:br>- My American Shorthair enjoys the taste of toothpaste so much that he begins leaking/eating it before brushing, and it smells exactly like cat food.
- The paste isn't foamy in the first place. br>- The brush itself is thin and long, allowing me to maneuver easily in my cat's mouth. br>- Cleaning the brush is simple, but it must be done correctly. I usually keep at least two pairs of shoes in my bag. 3 minutes of submersion in running water
- I don't have a finger extension or brushbr>- It's reasonably priced, which I appreciate. Brushing my cat's teeth is always a hassle for me, and I occasionally skip a day or two, but as many veterinarians advise, this is something that should be done on a regular basis, and this kit makes it a lot easier! br>br>It's a must-have!.
