It's used once a day, after the dogs have eaten their dinner. There isn't a "best" time to use it, in my opinion.
Yes, the product is the same, but the name has been changed from brushless toothpaste gel to Dental Gel by the manufacturer.

My cats are too picky about what they eat. Only fancy feast tuna and those tempting treats are eaten by them. They scream like Siamese to get what they want. I've been kidnapped and forced to serve them as a hostage. They despise all toothbrushes, as well as a variety of toothpastes. This method is effective. They're not agitated in the least. But I think they're catching on to the fact that I'm putting cleansers in their water dish. After 48 hours of use, the minor gingivitis is almost gone. Wow! Another veterinary bill has been put on hold.
My cat recently broke a tooth (I have no idea how!). Because cats are crazy, I needed to see a veterinarian dentist for a root canal, and she recommended this toothpast because it contains more enzymes than other pet toothpastes. I didn't realize you didn't need a toothbrush until I received it. All you have to do is draw a half-inch line on your finger, lift your pet's top lip, and wipe it on! The paste is then distributed in their mouth with the help of their tongue! OMG, THIS IS SAVING THEIR TEETH AND MY MINDFULNESS! AN EXCELLENT ITEM!.
NEWS ZYMOX ORATENE BRUSHLESS ORAL CARE GELbr>br>Natalie and Kisser, two rescued Greyhounds, own us. Greyhounds are known for their grace, beauty, and speed, but they are also known for having terrible teeth and gums. br>br>Kisser, in particular, has nice teeth but terrible breath that could put a horse to sleep. Her gums were red and swollen, and she appeared to have a bad case of the flu. Our vet recommended this product after giving Kissie a professional dental cleaning. This gel is applied to Kissie's gums once or twice a day. We are now brushing her teeth as well. Thank God for this girl's sweetness and passiveness - When she sees us putting this gel away, she actually gets excited. We've been brushing her teeth and applying this ZYMOX GEL daily for a few weeks now, and we've noticed a significant improvement in her mouth. Her foul breath has vanished, and she now has a fresh, clean mouth! Her gums have faded from a fiery red to a normal pinkish hue.
We are 100% satisfied with this product and will keep applying daily to ensure no future dental problems with our girls in the future dental problems.
The halitosis in one of our two dogs is particularly bad. We spent over $200 to have his teeth cleaned about two months ago, and he was still stinky. I tried brushing but it didn't work, so I ended up wrestling a 9-pound dog. br>This toothpaste is exactly what it says it is: brushless. I used it on both dogs when it arrived the other day. "Rub about half an inch on the gums 1-" it said. 2 times per day". br>Honest to God, both dogs' breath is fresh and puppy-like, and they tolerate it admirably. br>Apparently, dogs have very dry mouths, which this remedy eliminates, as well as bad breath. br>All of our dogs are rescues, and they are our children. br>We were familiar with the brand; Zymox had worked wonders for our frequent ear infections in our Boston Bull Terrier. Because it contains hydrocortisone, it provides immediate pain relief. And only once a day for a week, resolving all types of ear infections caused by fungi. br>And the dogs know they'll get a treat after every treatment, so they sit nicely, even afterward, allowing us to rub it in.
After my poor kitty had a bad tooth pulled (which explained her irritability, the cat, not the vet), my veterinarian recommended the water additive. ) I think the water additive would be great for dogs, but I quickly discovered that my cat no longer drinks water since I switched her to canned food. I came across this gel made by the same company and decided to order it from Amazon. It appears to be working, and I have noticed that her breath no longer stinks. Imagine the breath of a dragon. So I make her canned food with a lot more water and brush her teeth with it after her last meal of the day. I smear some on her teeth, but I mostly let her lick small amounts off my finger. That is not an issue because she enjoys it. br>I'll update this review after her next veterinarian appointment in January. Let's hope for the best.
This was suggested by my veterinarian as an alternative to brushing my dog's teeth. It has no taste (I tried it). It doesn't bother my dogs that I use it on them. Simply smear it on their front teeth/gums, and they will evenly distribute it throughout their mouth. I have two dogs, and neither of them has bad breath. One of them has a health problem that was causing him to have really bad breath, but it's gotten a lot better now. I'm hoping they get a clean bill of health when it comes to their teeth. This will not remove existing tarter, but it will prevent new tarter from forming, according to the veterinarian.
My Yorkie developed diarrhea as a result of this. Now I'm only giving it two stars because it's a good product, but there should be a warning on the box for people who have dogs with IBD. I would give it five stars if they added a warning because it is a good product that I use without issue on my Maltipoo. However, if your dog has a sensitive stomach, please be cautious and avoid using this.
Easy to use, but my dog stopped eating two days after starting this product; I used it for a week or so, not knowing what the problem was; I stopped using it about five days ago, and my dog is slowly returning to normal. Is it just a fluke? Maybe, but we're not going to use it again. br>It made my dog sick, and they still charged me shipping to return it, which was a waste of money.
