What I read on the Internet is as follows In general, elevating the food and water bowls will help reduce the strain when the cat is leaning forward, which will reduce the risk of future problems with the stomach, spine, or hips. My opinion, however, does not constitute a legal opinion as I am not a veterinarian.

It's me and my 9 year old. This ginger boy has puked up a lot Pancreatitis has recently been diagnosed in a patient who is prone to it. We are doing everything that we can to minimize the possibility of flare ups, and one of the remedies is elevating the food he eats so he won't vomit. Our solution was to elevate the food on a plastic container so his dish would sit a little higher. I have, however, been looking for something to replace that setup for quite some time because there were many issues in addition to the aesthetic. He fell in love with this dish at first sight, and he ate it right away. As well as being elevated, the design means I no longer have to change his dry food every week, which I had to do a lot because of the way he ate. It's much better now that he has fewer kibbles all over my dining room, and he seems much happier to enjoy nibbles at random times. I hope you don't puke either! This cat mom wins big time in every way!.
This bowl is a big hit with us. Several of us bought two of them, one for each cat. It was easy for both of them to get used to using them, and we hope, as they grow older, they would be more beneficial to their necks and digestion than eating from the floor. Having one cat who eats like a plow truck was a little bit of a bummer. In addition to that, the top of the angled bowl gets in his way when he eats from the bottom bowl without pushing it off of the bottom. I wish that part of the top bowl was more securely attached to the bottom itself. That's not so much a design flaw as it is a practical issue. My cat eats like a plow truck, so it may just be a factor of eating too much. Due to the rounded and smooth nature of the bowl sides, some kibble comes out of each bowl as well. The other cat on the other hand always eats calmly and never gives me trouble. The bowls at standing height will be beneficial to both, as they won't have to eat so close to the ground. I know they'll appreciate not having to stand so close to the ground. I did not find any issues with these purchases. Then again, you would only get rid of your cat if she ate No problems there. He takes care of the wet food just fine. There are easy to clean, functional mats that are made of durable material. On the bottom, they also have little rubber feet that prevent them from slipping. The dishes have been thrown in the dishwasher occasionally with no problems. I will come back and upload a photo when I have time because I know how helpful seeing a picture can be.
consider the perfect cat food bowl to be shallow, nonslip, made of ceramic or stainless steel, and raised. It's not disappointing that it's made of plastic, which harbors bacteria and is suspected of causing cat chin pimples, but so far it's the closest we've found. However, the height of the stand and the fact that the sides of the bowl don't touch my cat's whiskers are many of the things I appreciate about the stand. As a pet owner, I expect many of you would be willing to pay an additional $10 to get that perfect pet bowl, as well as all of us (even my fellow pet owners).
I was concerned about the tiny chips near my cat's food area because I had previously used elevated ceramic bowls that chipped when unpacked and even before washing. Several months ago, I was looking for something similar in silicone, and I found this product. It is made of plastic and is well-made and well designed, but it is not silicone. There is a small non-profit organization included in the book On the slip mat lies the base the base stands tall, while the bowl stands on the tall base. Having read through the product packaging (image attached), I was extremely pleased with the manner in which it was crafted. It exhibited a genuine effort to deliver the product to its After I had my first concern about the height, it was no big deal for my cat to take to the bowl, and even better, she has not vomited since she has used the bowl (this may partly be due to the bowl, but also to other precautions we have been taking). I am quite happy so far as far as the experience goes, it has been a couple of weeks and I am much happier than how I felt after buying a ceramic bowl with chips in it which I used for a week only to have them fall out. In my opinion, the value is 5 in my opinion because I do not have to do the amazon shuffle. I simply buy and try until I find something that works for us.
I found exactly what I was looking for in this bowl. It is semi-automatic The shallow of the shallows It is important to use a wide feeding bowl that is smooth and rounded on the inside in order to prevent the cat from making a hole in his kibble that I would then have to fill in for him to be able to eat. In the top bowl, there is a tilt, but in the bowl enclosed within the elevated base, there is no tilt. The result is a cup that's tilted and a cup that's not Bowl that gives you the option of adjusting it to help you determine what best suits your purpose. In terms of features, I'm not aware of any in this product that I am not aware of in cat bowls.
The silicon base pad is nice, but for our floor it is unnecessary. Thus, we received a free silicon pot holder for the kitchen as a result of that event. There is a wide and extensive base. There is no way that it can be accidentally knocked over.
I have one male and one female. Neither is in his or her early 60s. Purchasing a bowl for each of them was easy and they both took to it immediately. Food is served to them as they sit down to eat. As well as eating slower, they seem to chew their food more thoroughly. Knowing that my cats are getting the most enjoyment from their food makes me very happy. So my male cat doesn't steal my female cat's food after she has finished eating, it is easy to take off the top and store it. There are no shortage of uses for these elevated bowls since they're simple to clean and sturdy. These are great - I bought them with my own money so it's great for me. You can't go wrong with these for cat parents!.
I think it looks cute, simple, and clean to start off with. Is made of plastic, but it has a sleek appearance and is well made. Even though I dropped it from a height of two feet on carpet, I think it is pretty durable. The bowls stack and it comes with TWO bowls. This is awesome because instead of scrubbing a little plate, I can remove the top portion of it where it holds the dry food for my kitties. With one part of it, I give them some wet food and set the other part aside. A great piece of functionality. Two of my cats are older than eight years, one of them is one year Despite the change in setup, they were both easily able to adjust to it. There have never been any problems with it going over and it's We do not have any complaints!.
