I nest them, but because they're ceramic, I have to be careful not to tip them over. Mine are in a wire basket rack and are stacked.
Outside measurements are 1-inch from bottom to top. 1/2 of an inch The width of the piece is approximately 6 inches. The width is 4 inches. 3/4 of an inch 1-inch is measured from the inside of the bowl to the top edge. 1/8 of an inch I hope this information is useful.
It's about an inch deep, maybe an inch and a quarter. Our three cats love these cat dishes.
On a tile floor, it has never slid around. I'm guessing it's because it's big enough for cats to carry. I'm not sure if this would be appropriate for a small dog. They have a different approach to things, so things may go their way.

Clean the dishwasher (a huge plus) as well as the rest of the house. These were obtained as a result of my microchip feeder with a sureflap. They only come with plastic bowls, which my daughters dislike, but these fit almost perfectly in there. They were a direct result of our prayers. br>br>Just keep in mind that the microchip feeder doesn't have those rubber edges, so when it's closed, it doesn't make a super seal like the plastic bowls, but that just means you shouldn't leave wet food in there for too long. We only use it for dry cleaning, so it's not an issue.
Was it really necessary to stick the damn sticker on the inside? It is, in fact, on there. Because that's where the food goes, it irritates me. The adhesive still won't budge after an hour of soaking. I despise using rubbing alcohol or oil, but it appears that I have no choice; it's ridiculous that I have to exert so much effort on such a small bowl.
They're adorable bowls, but why did they use an IMPOSSIBLE-to-remove sticker on them? I feel compelled to purchase Goo Gone, a foul-smelling sticker remover solvent that I do not want to use in a food/water bowl. Isn't it also true that the sticker is on the bowl's INSIDE? Someone's poor planning: I had intended to use them as water bowls, but I miscalculated the measurements I needed, so I doubt they'll be suitable for that purpose because they don't hold a lot of liquid. However, I can see how they could be useful as food bowls.
This bowl resembles the old Castlemere bowls, which are no longer manufactured, as well as an oval bowl that Target once sold. This is a good depth (for cats who like to push their food over the edge) that isn't too deep. The sides and bottom of some pet food bowls are well-designed. Wet/canned food is pushed into the corners by cats who have trouble eating it, and they end up leaving it there. The oval shape gives the cat's whiskers plenty of room. This bowl is microwave and dishwasher safe, but it is also breakable (which is why we have purchased it multiple times). Some plastic pet food dishes can't be microwaved, and plastic isn't recommended in general because it absorbs oils and bacteria, aggravating feline acne. I'd like to see more color variations of these bowls. This bowl should not be used as a water dish. Water is better in a larger round bowl. As a cat- I've tried many different styles/shapes of cat bowls as a veterinary technician, and this is the best cat food bowl I've ever seen, especially for canned food! The veterinary technician has given his approval!.
I was also looking for wide bowls that wouldn't irritate my whiskers and weren't metal so I could microwave the food to warm it up. The depth and width of these bowls were just right. It's fantastic that I can microwave them and then put them in the dishwasher. Another requirement I had was for bowls with rounded inside edges where the sides met the bottom. I have some attractive metal bowls for the cats, but the sides are steep and almost right angles where they meet the bowl's bottom. This allows food to become stuck inside, making it difficult for the cats to remove it. These bowls are the ideal depth, rounded and wide enough for them to get in and out with ease. br>br> Because they are all hand painted, no two are exactly alike, but I am pleased with them overall. My only complaint is that there isn't a wider range of color or design options. However, I would order them again or recommend them to a friend without hesitation.
Smaller cat bowl with a well-made oval shape. It will not fit into any of our current raised metal or plastic specialty bowl holders, but it will sit flat on a wooden bench type raised bowl holder. We use it for liquids that are thick, such as Hydra- Care. Because FuzzyCatt, even at 19 years old, is a bit of an "enthusiastic" eater, it's not deep enough for water or wet food. It did well in the top rack of the DW, but sponge washing was just as easy. Please use caution when using hot soapy water in the bathroom sink. Even though I smashed my head against the sides of the sink and the faucet when I first started washing, this bowl held up. There were no cracks or broken pieces, and I was much more cautious with subsequent washings, lol. br>It's also very cute. I'll be happy if he uses it.
