Without a doubt. Due to an allergic reaction to the collar I bought for my cat, she got a very bad sore on her neck. I didn't think we would ever put another collar around her neck once the wound healed. Her body doesn't even notice that this is there, it is so soft and light. A second one is on its way so I have a backup!

I don't think a leash would work well with this collar because the material is soft and flexible.
