Yes, it happens once in a blue moon and once in a while (rarely) when no one is on it, but so does my suction-cup-held sunpass in my car, which hasn't deterred any of my cats from returning to it. We have two of the hammocks/shelves, which we've had since late 2016 and are still using (as of May 2020). I've already changed the suction cups. I have a lot of cats, and I usually have two or three on one at a time with no issues. Oh, and our house routinely exceeds the 25-pound weight limit.
You can close your window blinds when you purchase the KITTY COT DELUXE.
It's super simple! It isn't a problem in the least. However, I'd like to offer the following suggestion: Clean the window with denatured alcohol before adhering the cups to a new location to remove any grease or dirt, and the cups will stick much better and last much longer.

However, one of the suction cups failed last night, and the cord became entangled in my cat's foot. He was dangling from his foot. It had cut his foot, and he was dripping blood. He could have been seriously hurt if I hadn't been home. I don't recommend buying this, and if you do, only use it when you're with your cat at home.
It's strong enough to hold both of my cats, including Otis (the orange tabby), who weighs 15 pounds! It's sturdy, never loosens, and we've repositioned it to make it look brand new. It's a big hit with the cats, too. It's impossible to praise them highly enough!.
Muffin the Cat is a big fan of her kitty bed. We've moved it around the house depending on the light, and she always finds it. Our kitty is a LARGE Maine Coon mix, and the cot has stayed up on the window almost all of the time. It will not stick if the window is dirty or the suction cups are dirty (even if only with a little dust). So first clean your window according to the instructions. br>br>We bought this for our fluffy friend because we don't have anywhere to put a cat tree comfortably. This is such an excellent solution that I believe I will purchase another once we have saved a little more money. The only disadvantage is that the color is a little unappealing because we don't have any brown in our house and it only comes in one color!.
I even went out and bought some new ones from Kitty Cot. Great idea, and I followed the instructions to the letter, but one of the suction cups will never stay up for an extended period of time; all it takes is one cat jumping on it, and one or more suction cups will come down, and they will never use it again - That's exactly where we're at now. I'm not willing to risk my cat's safety, so this is a waste of money.
For my cats, this is an excellent perch. They're on the verge of a squabble over it. I was skeptical of the suction cups at first, but they hold up well. Just make sure the windows and suction cups are clean before putting them in place.
Bug, my cat, is 14 years old. 15 lbs. all by herself (so I figured a suction cup would be sufficient for up to 15 lbs. x 4 is perfectly acceptable). Because I live in a basement, the only real window I have is my door, and I know she misses having windows (her previous apartments had large sliding glass doors). The bottom suction cups, however, gave way when I first installed it. br>br> My cat, on the other hand, was abandoned! I heard it from another room and entered to find the bed dangling from the door by the top suction cups (which stayed put) and the cat walking away with "dignity. " HOWEVER! Later, I realized that this was probably because my friend (who assisted me in installing it because I'm currently disabled due to a work injury) tried to make the bed at a slight slanting down angle to the door (sort of to "cradle" her so that if she fell, he'd fall into the door rather than be dumped unceremoniously to the floor). The bed MUST be flat and level, as this is how the bottom cups are pressed against the surface to keep them from slipping. It wasn't a problem once I fixed it, and it now works flawlessly and is extremely durable! br>br>In any case, we tinkered with it a little and added two bathroom toilet seat screws that permanently attach the bottom cups to the PVC, which I think would be a good idea to include in future versions of this product. br>br>Overall, good product, my first concern was the suction cups flying off and a cat sprawling (which gave me great giggles and was disappointed when I didn't see any reviews with such stories before I bought it, which I'm sure she missed watching "TV" outside in the fresh air.
