The window mount has been in our house for a couple months now, and our three cats love it. It is a huge hit with them. It's great that they don't fall off my window ledge and catch themselves on my curtains anymore. This is my biggest guy who I think weighs 15 pounds or so. It fit my cats just fine and held them both well, and two of them snuggled up in it at the same time.
We were encouraged to try out the kitty sill, but as soon as the suction cups were placed, it was too late. There was no rough handling with the thing, we barely touched it at all. Our window appeared to be out of alignment a couple of days ago, but it was completely fine before that. There were no cracks or anything, and we open and close it all the time and there has never been a problem. My guess is that the suctions cups are not designed to shatter windows, especially if they are designed for that. Since we are too scared to try it out on another window, we're just going to have to get rid of it or ask if it can be returned. Angry! I was so disappointed.
