Selected User Reviews For Prevue Pet Products Travel Carrier for Birds, Black
In a nutshell, While I did not want to pay the high price for this item at first, after some consideration I decided to buy it. It is quiet in the car, light weight, and easy to put together and tear down, so it is great for over night stays My second purchase was a result of my satisfaction with the first product. The cage that I use for my sun conure and goffin cockatoos is great. The food items for conures can be put in the form of a 2 - 3 In one cage, there are 3 birds. There should be one bird per cage with a goffin cockatoo.
Although I consider this cage to be a great option, there are two things I dislike. They are the Would have preferred if it had a flat surface to make it easier on the car seat and to be able to fit onto smaller tables without being perfectly parallel. Perhaps the bowls could be a little These large cages have the same size bowls as the large cages, which is great because the bowls can be interchanged. Unfortunately, they take up so much space inside the cages. Travel sized bowls would have been a better addition so there was more room for my birdie. The cage is easy to assemble and easy to take apart. The door is strong and cannot be opened by a clever bird. Prevue cages are the best. I've got three, and all of them are great. You may want to keep an eye on the price. As the curtain rises, so does the floor. The best price I've seen is on Amazon for a brand new one.
The size is decent and it is very easy This is what is good about it. This is what I've got to offer you. I have to lift this heavy object. Although this cage is heavy, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, the cage is meant to be portable, and it is long so that top handle is a bit of a sore spot. There is only one tiny screw holding the handle on each side, which provides very little confidence for long term use. It also has a relatively flat bottom, which makes it less portable. There are four raised feet on the cage that enable it to stand upright. You can use this if you have a perfect flat surface to rest each of the four feet on, but if you don't have that, you risk placing this heavy cage on the The cage has no bottom besides the bottom tray, so you can't put the cage on the passenger side seat or on top of a side table, for example, since one or more of the four feet would hang off the side and could possibly damage the In general, the lack of a proper bottom base (probably to reduce weight) limits the way you can position the cage, which doesn't save it because it's already heavier than three of the cages I usually use that are not portable and 3x as big. There's also an upside to that big swinging door I discussed. For me, it's a problem because it severely limits what kinds of perches I can put in since the entire horizontal length of the cage is off limits for things like rope perches. There is no place to put a perch if the door needs to be swung The fact that my bird can climb up it to get out of the house when it's open has also been problematic for her since she cannot climb down the door to get back into it when it's closed. If she wanted, she could lower herself back in if she wanted, but she couldn't grip the thick framing on the top rung of the door. For my bird to be able to move around, it would be nice if the door swung up and down instead of side to side. I think it was well intentioned, but it failed to reach its goal. Despite its portability issues, the bird finds it difficult to navigate it comfortably because the device is too heavy and bulky. If you need to travel and temporarily house the animals, then you should just get one of those regular cheap box cages since they are more lightweight and easier to place in cars and smaller spaces.
It had been my intention to buy a carrier three times as expensive, but I hesitated because it looked too bulky to fit the bird. I found this one instead There's a good look, a good feel, a good sentiment It is finished. This is a great book!.
This product actually arrived 3 days before it was supposed to! The assembly process was very straightforward and simple. To prevent shipping damage, the package has been nicely packaged. Despite its simplicity, it is a quality.
This was used by our Jardine's Parrot to spend a vacation week in the sun. A 15-minute assembly time was required, and it is also easy to take apart and store after use. We appreciate that it came with a rope perch as well.
Establish a schedule. While I was moving the cage, the steel tab that holds the food bowl door lock broke off, resulting in the steel "loop" falling off. I didn't feel any stress about it at all. Having requested a replacement, I hope it gets here in time, and I hope it is not defective. This was a disappointing experience. review this again in the future.
ITEM 1 - PROS I feel very fortunate to have found this for the price. A medium to large sized vehicle can fit there easily The bird was about the size of an adult hen and had full wings. This is a fairly lightweight product. 1) A plastic tray as opposed to 2) Makes a wonderful sleeping cage! 1) A seat They are the perfect size. 1) A tab to prevent the tray and grate from moving. a) A solid metal latch mounted Assembling does not require the use of tools. Placement is quick and easy! b) They can be separated easily and folded flat for storage. There are two thin twist screws holding the top of the carrier in place, however, and this causes the handle on the top to wobble. *Other reviews claim this snapped off in a short amount of When you are driving, it rattles. 3) The rope perch provided for the cage is too short to make it across the cage so I replaced it with a T-shaped wood perch You are perched. With only a few cons, this is an excellent carrier at an excellent price. When the perch handle starts to wear out, I'll just replace it with a purse strap or something similar. This is a great product at a good.
