I am really happy I bought it. My fears were heightened when I read a review that said it smelled like mold. In spite of this, when I received this product, I checked it over thoroughly and found nothing suspicious about it. It's always a concern about mold if wood is untreated, so make sure to check it before giving it to your birds to ensure it's safe. It is very well liked by my birds. This product is of excellent quality and at an excellent price.

Like most wood perches of this type, this one had a strange finish that I had to remove slowly. My birds are chewers and I wouldn't risk for them to ingest anything if they got into it-I know that might frighten some people- The reason is that I have never kept wood perches for longer than 6 months (I don't think I can properly clean wood toys or perches, so I retire them after a while There is no comparison between my goofy birds and this perch since it takes up a lot of space compared to other types of perches and toys. I like the way that this perch opens up the cage, and my goofy birds enjoy jumping from perch to perch. As fast as 20 seconds were needed to screw the perch It's big and heavy and it has a washer and screw that hold it all to the cage, so I wouldn't call it the strongest product, but it supports two little birds perfectly!.

In place of hanging it upside down, since I have a plexiglass playtop cover that I made for her cage, I attached it to the bottom of her cage grate for a low-profile look Her perch is level since she plays almost as much on the ground as she does on the perch. In addition to the screw thread inserts directly inserted into the main branch, which made it very easy to install and remove the perches, was that the main branch had metal screw thread inserts molded into it! Unfortunately, this suction cup is effectively useless, as I cannot get it to suction on to any surface (after following the included directions to the letter). As for the perch itself, it appears to be sturdy and sturdy, but does not work, so it contains no use. second thing that annoyed me was that the perch was advertised as having a clear acrylic piece that attached to the wall, but instead what I received was some sort of recycled acrylic that looks as if it were cut from another piece of acrylic. In order to determine whether there was clear plastic underneath the tan piece, I had to remove the tan piece. The covering is impossible to remove because either this is not the right material or it is cut in such a way that it is impossible to remove. In either case, it looks uglier than it would have been if it was clear. I wouldn't have cared if it had a little bit of suction, but honestly I wouldn't have.
