Questions & Answers

Do you think this cage's coating is durable and tough?

It appears to be true, since I have a conure who loves to chew on everything, even on the cage, and it doesn't seem to chip We've had the cage for over a year, and it's very durable

Does the cage lock look like a snap lock? Can a snap lock be used to make sure the cage door cannot ?

The locks of the cage can be seen in detail if you place your cursor over it.

For the feed and water cups, what is the size of the sliding doors?

Good morning, everyone. We offer seed cup doors for Hampton Breeder Cage F070/75 that are 5 3/4" wide by 2 3/4" high. This should be helpful, we hope!

Does the droppings tray have a specific size? In order to receive the cage with liners, I need to order them. ?

I just bought this cage, its great, it's well designed, it has lots of room for both my canaries, and it's affordable. It's dropping size is 16"x 16"x 30". A little over a half inch wide by 15 inches long 2 and a half inches

This was a better quality than I The quality of the steel used in this cage exceeded my expectations, I bought it expecting a thinner metal and lower quality cage
4/5

The metal is heavy, thick, Inside and outside of the box, bubble wrap, foam wrap, and corner protectors were used to package the box well. A one-piece Allen wrench is included with the pack. I encountered only one problem when I was building the cage the paint coating made some of the screw holes smaller than the screws. That made it difficult to screw in the screws. After a while, I needed a longer Allen wrench to put more pressure on the screw to force it into place. This center divider does not have a latch to help hold it in place, so it bounces around a bit and needs to be tied in some way for it to stay in place. It is the same fear other people said they are afraid of when it comes to this cage--the Because the main doors do not have gaps, you may cut off the toes of your bird if you close them with a bird trying to escape. A second problem I have is with the side doors. They are spring-loaded and remind me of mousetraps. A perch was placed on that door so the cleaver boys wouldn't be able to squeeze out of the side doors. On one side of my pictures, I have a budgie and a cockatiel, and on the other side, I have an Amazon. (This is her cage at her grandparents) On the weekends the Amazon visits her grandparents, while at home it is a MUCH bigger While not a very large cage, this is good for this young lady. The cage is large enough for her to play in and it allows her plenty of space, so she mainly stays here to sleep Small birds love this cage and can easily enter through the main doors when their sister isn't there. The divider inside can also be removed to allow access to the other side to the birds. It is easy to sweep under this cage since it has wheels. The screws were the only cause for my slow progress and I took maybe an hour to complete the project. In general, I am pleased with the quality, but this does not earn 5 stars because of the possible snipping of toes with the doors.

The cages are very nice! This was just put together by me The stand, and an extra cage to stack on top of this set, were part of the purchase
5/5

The stackable bird cages I bought were not for breeding purposes, I just needed them as assemble all the cages and the stand myself it takes me about two and a half hours. I have had no problems with missing parts or assembling the cages. It was very well put together and everything worked out well. I really like how well-made the unit is and how it looks use the entire cage, not just a divider. I remove the divider and place the cage on its own. My bottom cage is occupied by a Green Cheek Conure, while my top cage is occupied by a Cockatiel. A divider would be unnecessary because there is more than enough space for every bird. There is a divider in the cages, which means they are The cage with the divider would not be large enough to hold anything larger than a pair of Budgies (Parakeets). There are "nest box" access doors on the sides of each cage that slide on a spring hinge but don't latch (see stock pictures)- Perches inside the cage) because your parrot might push the door open and end up stuck when the door snaps shut. However, I cannot believe the price of these cages!.

This warning applies Birds should not be exposed to this
3/5

Please be aware! The side door of one of these double cages closed on my bird's neck when he pushed on the side door of the cage. I bought two of these double cages for my quakers and had them in them until my bird died. Upon my return to the house, he had already died. In order to open the door, one simply needs to pull a spring-loaded clip, which will not stop an animal from pushing the door out.

I would not buy this product When I received this cage, it was exciting to have it as a replacement for my two male canaries, who were living in two separate cages - a wheeled cage and a Triple Roof Cage on our cabinet top
3/5

The previous cages had been a hassle to clean, so I thought it would be a breeze to wheel the laundry room cage into the laundry room for deep cleaning. This is incorrect. The sliding compartment is difficult to get into and out of with the bottom trays. As soon as I get the grate out of the cage, it bows very easily. To flatten it out so that it will even slide out, I reach into the cage. No matter how hard we tried, the roof could not be flattened. When it bounces back to its original shape, I wish the side bars did the same. As the cage has no bottom, once I remove the grated portion and clean it, I have to slide it over the dirty collector tray before I can remove that part to be cleaned. If I try to hammer each tray into the part that feeds both trays back into place, I give my birds a heart attack. I am experiencing extreme pain in my neck because that space was designed so tightly. In light of some sad comments that were posted here on Amazon concerning birds who had died, I had to zip tie the side doors shut. It is not a good idea to let them be There are just a few simple steps involved, and I am surprised that the side doors have not been replaced The design has not yet been developed. In addition, the feeding trays are much too low, as mentioned previously. I knew my birds would not like to almost sit on the ground to eat, so I bought some cheap hang-on dishes from Walmart that work just fine. *This one was my mistake since I didn't pay attention to the height, but that cage with stand is too low. The height of the building was extended with steel rods my husband purchased. Because of it, my canaries have never been happier. For now, I agree with other posters that cages are fine, but they should be a little bigger. I have to remove the perches and water dispensers every time because the frail, thin bars bend. Despite my observation, I would not buy this cage again. I will now be looking to purchase a different cage on wheels and I will be putting my animals into their separate spaces once My expectations were high for this product, but in the end it did not fulfill my expectations.
