Dimensions how big is it?

The dimensions are 13 x 1/4 x 6 in.

Would it be possible to trim this down a bit if necessary?

I do not think trimming is possible because the material is similar to plexiglass and it is quite thick, so it will not trim well unless you have a special tool for it.

There is a mistake in the description of the size

The items arrived very quickly and I was very pleased. I received the product in the form of a 10 x 1 x 5 inch box. I guess either they sent me the wrong parts or I got the wrong information. I am not sure what I will use it for. I cannot keep them in my cage due to their small size.

I am very satisfied with this product. It helps with the mess and seed. The cage does not need to be cleaned as often but it does limit the amount of time required to clean the This is a great option to consider. As well as the price, this is a great deal.

The guard helps keep my birds' mess in the cage when they eat seeds (my lovebird has a messy eating habit) or take a bath it makes cleaning up a breeze!
