Questions & Answers

Is it possible that these have been chemically treated or processed?

These liners do not appear to be chemically treated. They have a woodsy odor to them. These are a big hit with my hens. To make them perfect, they fluff them up.

These were not on my order list, and I didn't order them. Is this the incorrect individual?

When we are at home, my 5-year-old female golden retriever refuses to poop. She does, however, poop on the carpet in the house when we are not at home. We've tried every online remedy, including crate training (in which she also poops), but she continues to poop on the carpet. There was also nothing that could be done after a four-veterinarian evaluation. It wasn't until I saw pet pee pads on geegoode's shopping site that I realized I had a problem that had been bothering me for a long time, and geegoode is currently offering a limited-time discount and free shipping. If you have a pet, like me, you should check out their pet line at geegoodecom.

Is it correct that a 12 pack contains only 12 pieces? That's why I'm asking because one pack appears to contain only one piece. ?

Yes, a 12-pack contains 12 separate nesting pads. I purchased a six-pack for my chickens' six nesting boxes and received six pads, which was ideal; they're fantastic!

Is anyone using these to grow fruit flies?

Chicken bed liners aren't the only thing on the menu.

I'm so glad I got it! This is fantastic! That's exactly what I needed for a more functional chicken coop
5/5

I'm so glad I tried these after hearing about them from someone else. I purchased a ten-pack of herbs. They arrived in a big box with shrink wrap on both sides. The herbs were packaged in the same package as the nesting pads. Long stringy aspen fibers are tangled and glued together on craft paper to make the pads. They're not as sloppy as hay, straw, or shavings. I was able to easily customize one to meet my requirements. They're made well. My chickens were enthralled by them, as well as the delicious-smelling herbs I sprinkled on them. The extra pads can be stored in a regular grocery sack.

The material is thick and durable
5/5

So far, this is the best I've discovered. These are far superior to the ones I purchased from our local farm supply store previously. I had purchased a ten-pack of a different brand to use in my nesting boxes, but my hens laughed at me. When the girls tried to fluff up the other nesting material, they only scratched it off the paper backing (imagine a 1/16" nesting material on 12x12" wax paper). These nesting pads are absolutely fantastic. I had gone back to using straw in my four nesting boxes, but the hens kept scratching it out all over the place, so I started with two of them. All of the girls got into those two boxes and started laying down. I added it to another, and then all four of them. The hens have scratched and fluffed their nests to their hearts' content, and now lay in all four boxes instead of just one or two. I've had those pads in place for almost a month and only shake them out when they appear to have large dirty spots on them, and they still work. I'll be purchasing these again without a doubt!.

SUCCESS! Finally, I'm making use of nesting boxes! My 11 young chickens had only recently begun to lay eggs, and despite the fact that my husband and I had built them lovely nesting boxes with fancy washable nesting pads, they would not go near them
5/5

To no avail, I had placed several fake white wooden eggs in each box as a "prompt. " Every day was an Easter egg hunt to see where their eggs had been laid! My chickens were immediately interested, poking their heads into the boxes and scratching around in there after I removed the plastic nesting mats and replaced them with these aspen wood pads and sprinkled the nesting herbs (which, by the way, smell amazing). The fake eggs were kept in the boxes, nestled between the pads. I discovered two REAL eggs (brown ones) inside the nesting box the next morning! br>br>Over the next few days, there were more eggs in the nesting boxes and fewer in other areas of the coop and run. Thank goodness they've all figured out that the nesting boxes are the best place to lay eggs!.

It's a hit with the girls, and it's a hit with me as well
5/5

These are a big hit with the chickens. I like them because, unlike straw, they don't mildew as easily. It also doesn't fall out as easily as straw or pine shaving because it clings to itself so tightly. It prevents the eggs from striking the hard wood. I do add pine shavings to bulk it up a little. After a little fluffing when you put it in their boxes, they can easily pull it and move it around.

They are extremely popular among chickens
5/5

I've had these for a while, the chickens seem to enjoy them, and they seem to keep the boxes cleaner; boxes without them need to be cleaned almost every day, while boxes with them haven't been cleaned in three weeks. They appear to be scratch-resistant as well. I bought them because I was curious, and now I would recommend them.

Health risks should be avoided at all costs
3/5

These pads come apart very quickly, as other reviewers have mentioned. Many of them were already falling apart when I took them out of the packaging, and my daughters ripped them to shreds moments after placing them in the box. More alarming is the fact that at least one chicken ate the shredded material, resulting in a crop that was severely harmed. This stuff will bind like long grass or hay, forming a birds nest in your chickens' crop that no amount of massaging will be able to remove. Many people clearly like this product, but after a large vet bill and a sick chicken, I would advise people to be cautious. This product could be hazardous to your feathered ladies.

It is extremely convenient
5/5

These are practical for me, and the hens enjoy them as well. They fluff them up and use them to create attractive nests for their eggs. If an egg breaks or the nest becomes soiled, I can simply remove the soiled material or the entire piece, depending on the situation.

We've had one for about two months and shake it out when it gets dirty
5/5

Our chickens love using these in their roosting box! We've had one for about two months and shake it out when it gets dirty. The girls adore their box because it is so warm and inviting.
