It was easy to mount these chains on my tires. Only one thing is different about this spring it's made of a different material than the springs that go from the rings to the chains. They are made of something that I expected would be heavier duty. I am not sure how long they will work, but so far they seem to be working fine.

Lack of tension, springs are weak, and metal hooks are easily bent. The wheel tensioners will pop off easily if the wheel rubs against snow or something similar. My old method of just running a small bungy strap through the chain now works.

Before I saw these, I had been using tie wraps to tension the chains on my tractor snow blower.
after using them I have no more problems. They are perfect in keeping the chains in place.
