Questions & Answers

How rigid is the pole when stretched out to 30'? Does it begin to bow and bend when extended this far?

Any pole that extends out to 30 feet tends to bow so you need to keep the weight on the roof and slide it over, then push it straight back up the roof.

In what way do the vinyl slides stand up to the test of time? If the slide replacements are available, are they ?

A UHMW (plastic) slide mounting strip is mounted at the base of the snow slide and bolted to the cutting frame. On Snowpeller. You can purchase several replacement parts on Amazon.com, including the slide. Next year, it will be available on your local Walmart. When they're available, they will be on our website

What I have done is- The ice cables on my roof have been installed What if I pull the cables off or loosen them? Will it work well with those cables or will it catch the cables and yank them off?

In addition to heat cables, I also have a power source. As I rake the snow, I would get my rake just above the cables and gently push upwards before letting it snow. The way things work is as follows. It is best to not drag it down over the cables, because then you will catch them and pull We were able to use it last winter successfully. Please be aware. In this circumstance, it's important to move your body away from the chunk of snow coming towards you when you are on a ladder. While the snow came down the rake, I needed a buddy to help hold my ladder since it was a bit heavy to push up and move out of the way.

Is it possible for solar panels to be damaged by this?

I really like this gizmo even though it is pretty simple. In other words, it is what you say that will come to pass. When there is enough snow to use this, I think the solar panels will do the trick. I used it after a foot of snow had accumulated and it worked well. The foil did not remove all the snow as it did not scrape it clean, but it is metal and has a bit of weight, and I don't know how much the two end pieces would affect your panels since they made direct contact with the roof even under

A fifth of a minute later, the pole broke
3/5

(I have a two-story building with high ceilings, so I used it at full length to clear the roof). With a blade of that length, it would certainly be difficult to handle. Could it be that your house is too large? There are some pretty bad bends in the poles. The help I received came from my wife. After 5 minutes, the pole snaps and she is knocked to the ground. We were wearing helmets, so there was no injury, since it was just the end of the aluminum pole that struck her. The picture made a solid impression, aside from the issue with the poles. You can watch a YouTube video that shows installation and it was pretty well done, although it didn't exactly match the hardware in our box, probably for a previous A brief update In response to my letter to the manufacturer, they quickly responded and sent helpful instructions on how to best use it (which was not included in According to them, this was only the second time this has As well as sending replacement parts, they also provided customer service. It's been a while since I tried this review, so I will try again. I updated it as follows In addition, I received more detailed instructions on moving the unit at a long distance when it is on the roof. It helps to know this. As a result, I'm giving it a star because I used it successfully on my neighbor's- The roof consists of several stories. I will be updating it when I get it to work on my 2-story house as well.

Pack a lunch if you want this to work
5/5

A few hours have passed since the last update. The phone just rang and I was just talking to Nancy from Polarmade. When I called the 800 number listed on the company's website, I was pleasantly surprised that not only was there someone at the other end, but she did not transfer me. She arranged for a replacement handle to be sent to me at no cost, even though the pole had broken during use. Without one inkling that negligence or disregard was involved, she arranged to send me a replacement handle, free of charge! As a result of the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE this company provides, I have added back the fifth star to my review. It stands behind its product, and I have become one of its raving fans. There is a big break at the weak point of this system, so the photo clearly illustrates that. Assembling the aluminum handle sections is quick and easy because the segments are mechanically tapered so they can slot together. A mechanical squeezing of this size weakens the metal as it makes its way into the junction. Even though I still recommend this product as a far safer way of getting rid of snow than shoveling it off the roof itself, I believe the weight of the snow must be taken into account. In my previous rating I was given five stars but have removed one Despite this failure, I give it a star. In order to determine if the manufacturer will replace the damaged handle section under warranty, I will be reaching out to them. I will update this review as soon as I hear from them. The original review for 3/12/19 was as follows This tool is of top quality. My adjustable wrench and the hex wrenches included in the box allowed me to assemble the unit in 15 minutes. I like how everything fits well, and I like how well the machining was done. You simply have to match parts to the diagrams in the instruction guide and follow the instructions. The instructions are vague. You will not find assembly instructions or tips in the manual. Online, I found a very clear video that explains everything in great detail. The web is a good place to visit BEFORE the meeting. In fact, it makes a difference. It is a tool that saves time and probably injuries, but it does not save effort or effort. from the ground, you stay safe, whereas shoveling on the roof would be downright hazardous. The tool with 25' of handle is larger and more difficult to handle, and the weight is not too bad at first but wears you out over time. After about an hour of work, I came up with A 48" thick layer of snow has been piled up on the roof for three months, and the cutting head has done There were times when the head would hang up on a section of ice and the handle would bulge down, hitting my gutter as it did so. I experienced no damage with this tool, although it may be better suited to a fresher snow surface than I had. Everyone who reads this can be assured that I have no regrets with this purchase, and I recommend both the maker and the tool.

You May Not Get Much Value for Your Money
3/5

I don't think it was worth They bend when twisted in use, have no grip resulting in repeated slipping, and are not as easy to handle as they claim. It would have been cheaper to get this quality for less. **** I added my own grip, it seems to work better, but requires good upper body strength since it is a top-heavy weapon. It is very important that you tie the bungee cord securely to your tarp system. slightly lighter cutting system and a cheaper version would make it easier to bend the poles and use the rake based on my research online since (which I have seen online since) I do not believe a cheaper version would be the best option. To start a new row, you have to take the machine back to the edge, which is where all the hassle is, trying to line up the system and push it again to create a new row. You can get a lot of snow cut down at once this way. So be careful when shopping! To make it two stars, I'm going to change it. My husband will likely try it first and I will put up an update after he does. There is no comparison between us when it comes to upper body strength Physical labor is what he does There may be an easier time for him.
