This is my first time using my Avalanche Roof Rake, and I love it. The past few weeks have brought almost two feet of snow to the area, and ice dams were starting to form from it. This device With a simple and efficient design, the roof rake is easy to use. The reach I needed was 20', which required use of all five sections. While working from the ground, I found that the rake's handle flex helped me get it where I wanted it to go. I had to use a ladder on one side of my house. You can prevent ice dams from forming on your roof with this. Though the snow shouldn't become too deep, you definitely don't want it to cover the entire road. I would rather there be several uses for it rather than to let it grow too deep and then have to pull it out. I am concerned that it can become a bit unwieldy with all the handles attached. It is very important that you don't hit any power lines coming into your home. Good design and quality materials appear to be used in making this product. It keeps the blade from causing damage to the shingles when mounted on wheels.
