There are some good qualities and a few bad ones about this roof rake. There are quite a few feet in the height up the edges of a very low pitched entry way roof I cannot use a regular roof rake for. I got this beast which gets up there just fine but is cumbersome and heavy to work with. Additionally, the angle of the rake causes some of the mechanics to be lost when you reach the edge of the roof. Unlike the one pictured, my husband purchased the Avalanche Original Snow Roof Rake AVA500, which is blue in color with a orange mechanism on top, not green like the one pictured.
