Can I repurpose this since it is designed for large rock salt and I use very small pellet ?

The test will be trial and error, but I'm sure it will work The chute opens too much as far as how much to open. It's better for me to leave my hand where it should be until I get it there. In the rest, the wheel that spreads salt would slide on the ice and snow and prevent the machine from That's not the case here! My big driveway worked like a charm with this product. A drawback is that if you are not careful, you could dump too much salt at once if you open the salt bucket with the lever. It's best to start slow so you can learn the flow. Salt spreaders that are cheaper are not worth your time. So far, I have not used grass seed or fertilizer.
