Questions & Answers

I have a 2007 Honda 400 trx rancher and was wondering if there are any benefits or drawbacks to going from 54 to 50 inches. blade ? What are the thoughts of the buyer?

My husband says he wishes we had gotten a 60-inch blade because the snow ended up under the wheels of his four-wheeler when the blade was angled. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is this compatible with a MTD lawn tractor from 1979?

This is just the blade; the push tubes and mount are not included. I've used the Warn 91810 universal mount, and it appears to be capable of attaching to almost any surface. For the plow, you'll need three pieces: the blade, the push tubes, and the mount.

Is there a blade that comes with the skids?

The skids are included in the kit, but I'm not sure if they came in the same box as the blade or in a different box.

Is there a set of big springs included for when you hit a curb?

The plow blade does include the springs.

READ THIS FIRST IF YOU WANT TO PURCHASE A PROVANTAGE PLOW SYSTEM
5/5

It can be difficult to find the right parts, so let me explain the ProVantage System. br>br>There are four parts to the plow: 1. br>br> Vehicle- (One of a number of part numbers. ) specific mount kit For your specific vehicle, go to the Warn website and look for it. )br>br>2. )br>br>3. )br>br>4. ) Push tube assembly (model 92100 or 78100; P/N 92100 or 78100; P/N 78100; P/N 78100 depending on the mounting kit you're using)br>br>3. A plough blade (P/N 78950, 78954, 78960, 80954, or 80960; P/N 78950, 78954, 78960, 80954, or 80960; P/N 78950, 78954, two blade styles (straight and tapered), three blade widths (50, 54, and 60")br>br>4. A winch with a roller fairlead is usually used to lift the vehicle. Alternatively, the Warn P/N 84600 is a dedicated lifter)br>br>There are two basic types for 1 and 2: There are two types of mounting options: center mount and front mount. br>br>Most automobiles are equipped with a center-mounted radio. Many come with a front-mounted kit. Kit for mounting. If you're in the driver's seat, you're in luck. If there is a mount kit available, I would suggest it because it allows the plow to lift higher. It raises high enough for me to reach over the front rack and turn the plow without having to get off my ATV. br>br>*** If you choose a front mount kit, you must also choose the front-mount kit. ***If you choose a center mount kit, you must also choose the center-mount push tube assembly, P/N 92100br>br>*** If you choose a center mount kit, you must also choose the center-mount push tube assembly, P/N 92100br>br>*** mount push tube assembly, P/N 78100br>br>3 is self-explanatory; choose one of five blade options. br>br>4, If you're buying and installing a winch with the rest of the components, read the front mount instructions carefully. Parts of the front mount kit replace a couple components on the winch mount kit on mine, so you'll have to disassemble it after you finish installing the winch mount to install the plow mount. As a result, regardless of the winch you use, I strongly advise you to purchase a WARN winch mount. Warn winch mounts and Warn plow mounts should be interchangeable. br>br>Any reasonable ROLLER fairlead will suffice. WARNING: DO NOT USE A HAWSE- FAIRLEAD DRESS STYLE In addition to their standard fairleads (which will suffice), Warn offers P/N 69373, a roller fairlead specifically designed for plowing. The bottom roller on this fairlead is very large, which reduces the tightness of the bend and extends the life of the winch cable. Warn also sells an 8' synthetic plow lift rope (P/N 68560) to save wear and tear on your regular winch cable. Because the synthetic rope is much larger than a standard winch line, it will last much longer than a standard wire cable. br>br>I suggest a quick winch - While plowing, you'll be raising and lowering the tractor dozens of times. Make sure your winch control is mounted in a convenient spot - You don't want to have to look for it every time. br>br>Here are some options to consider: 1. br>br> (P/N 79360) Power Pivot - The blade of the plow is rotated by an electric motor. This could be useful if you do a lot of plowing.
2. Bucket Loader Conversion (depending on blade width, P/N 83133, 84133, or 85133) - converts a regular plow blade into a bucket loader for handling loose material (sand, gravel, topsoil, mulch, and so on)br>br>There are a few snags you'll run into in certain situations. For example, you might or might not be able to use an assembled plow on two different ATV models. The automobile - Two "tabs" that bolt on to the push tube and allow it to quickly attach to the mount are included in this mounting kit. The height and spacing of tabs on one model may or may not be the same as tabs on another. If you want to use two plows on one ATV (one regular plow and one with the "bucket" conversion), you'll need to contact WARN to get a second set of the aforementioned "tabs" for the second plow. They've been giving them away for free, but you should double-check with them first. br>br>Once you've gathered all of the necessary components, assembly SHOULD be fairly simple; unfortunately, you'll be reading from page 3 of the manual. It's a little confusing because you're looking at five different assembly manuals at once, one for each of the parts you bought. So far, this is my only major complaint about the entire kit.

On the Kubota B6100, it's a perfect fit
4/5

The provantage Warn mount was used to install this 54" Warn plow blade on my Kubota B6100. I built an accessory mount and welded the Warn mount to it before installing the plow. The plow blade needed no modifications. The Warn plow and mount were simple to assemble, and once completed, I had power up, down, and tilt. It comes apart in seconds with four pins, and I was able to easily reinstall my bucket. This came in handy because our driveway is a quarter mile long and has a lot of pitch and angle changes, as well as dips and valleys. The image depicts spring 2019 and the tractor's second winter plowing season. I gave it four stars because the plow blade was a little flimsier than I expected, but it's held up well so far. I don't run it at 20 mph so it doesn't get as abused, and the bang for your buck is unbeatable, especially with all the options available for the Warn system.

This is, in my opinion, the best deal they have to offer
5/5

I've owned Warn's most expensive plow (the County, or tapered, blade), as well as this one. This is, in my opinion, the best deal they have to offer. br>br>While the tapered blade is effective at clearing snow to the side, anything more than a couple inches of snow will still spill out onto the opposite side, necessitating a second pass to clean up the residue. The same goes for this blade, so why pay more for a plow that does the same job? br>br>In addition, unlike the tapered blade, this blade allows for top attachments. I haven't attached anything yet, but knowing that I can add a snow shield or side markers is a nice option to have. I've also considered mounting a couple of auxiliary lights on the top edge, since the blade cuts off the ATV headlight beam, making it difficult to see the ground in front of the plow. I haven't tried it yet, but the straight blade gives me that option. Last but not least, unlike the tapered blade, this blade can convert into a bucket. I haven't ordered the bucket attachment yet, but I plan to do so this summer. Once again, this is a useful feature that the tapered blade lacks. br>br>The tapered blade is made of a slightly thicker metal, but I haven't noticed any significant differences in functionality or clearing ability. I was worried that because the blade was lighter, it wouldn't cut as deeply into the surface, but this wasn't the case. It works just as well as my tapered blade did at clearing. br>br>I've done a lot of comparing to the tapered version, which I hope will be useful to anyone deciding between the two. This blade performs admirably and is constructed in the manner that I would expect from a name brand: the welds are clean and strong, the fitment to the push tube is flawless, and it clears snow effectively. This blade has made me very happy!.

The setup is of high quality
3/5

Warn was contacted and the three ProVantage components for an Arctic Cat 650 H1 were ordered. The assembly of the plow is fairly straightforward. The main mounting bracket for the four-wheeler can be a pain to install, but once it's in place, you'll probably never have to remove it. It is visible from the front of the machine, but it has no impact on ground clearance or functionality. The ease with which the plow blade can be attached to the four-wheeler is fantastic. It'll be ready in less than 2 minutes. It's as easy as slipping the pivot arms into their slots on the mounting bracket and then screwing the pins (or nuts and bolts, as I'll explain later) in place. The cable should then be attached to the plow bracket and routed through an anchor point. Done. I'm all set. Plow has adjustable slides and can pivot from side to side; the only disadvantage I've found is that the brackets that the pivot arms slide into and pivot from when the plow goes up and down get spread. Purchase some stainless nuts and bolts (3/8" x 1") as a quick fix. If my memory serves me correctly, the plow is attached with nut and bolts rather than pins. The bolts prevent the slots from growing wider. br>br>Excellent setup that I would buy again!.
