Questions & Answers
It is not necessary to use silver ion. The tub will function normally without it. Silver ion helps to control and inhibit bacterial growth in water, allowing you to use less sanitizer (i.e. you add to the water (chlorine)
Yes. Although it aids in the reduction of bacteria, chemicals must still be used. For the past 15 years, we've been using it in our spa.
My hot tub has four filters, but the silver ion filter is only used in one of them. There is no room for one in the other three spots! You should probably read your manual, but I doubt you'd use any other cartridge because the other chemicals you'll need are directly added to the water.
It will, I am certain. My spa has about 800 gallons of water in it. For the past five years, I've been using these. The water in my house is always crystal clear. Every two weeks or so, I add a small amount of chlorine.

This is something I use in my Hot Springs spa. It's a lot more convenient than going to a spa.
This will most likely be the last time I purchase these types of items from one of Amazon's Pool/Spa vendors. I paid for a new product, but received a repackaged and mostly used product sold to me at a "NEW PRODUCT" price. I could have paid the same price and received an unopened product with instructions if I had gone to the nearest Spa or Leslie store. The internal packaging was ripped, and there were no instructions. I was thinking about returning, but I'm so irritated right now that I'm just going to chalk it up to a learning experience.
I'm not sure if this item isn't actually a used item because the package had been opened and the interior retaining portion of the box was clearly significantly damaged. It's not worth it to take that risk again!.
Despite the fact that I only drain, My hot tub needs to be cleaned every 6 months, but this sanitizer keeps it clean for at least 4 months, if not longer.
The manufacturer recommends it, and ordering it online saves me time searching for it in town.
My water remains clear; I'm not sure if it's because of this filter or because I use shock once a week, but I'll keep buying and replacing it every three months. Just in case, I'll keep it for six months.
Their price is reasonable, and it performs as expected in my hot tub.
you do! In the long run, it saves money. It's great to get back to the real deal. We have a Hotsprings tub and have experimented with cheaper alternatives, but the chemistry was always off. Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer! Also, the filters should be changed. To keep everything perfect, fewer chemicals are needed now.
