Questions & Answers
Yes. These are for a system that is in line. It's what I use in my Caldera Marino spa's inline system.
Hello, everyone, it is three o'clock. It's simply a sku for a combination. Silver has a 4-year shelf life. 6 weeks
Is there a separate bromine and chlorine mineral cartridge?
The cart is gradually releasing items so that you do not have to add to it on a daily basis. We recommend that you shock your system once a week.

The @ease inline system was used to install the spa. The cartridges are simple to use, but no matter what setting we use for the chlorine cartridge, we always get a low chlorine reading and the message that smartchlor isn't working. The 575 gallon tub was set to setting 4. When we get our results, the smartchlor still has chlorine in the chamber. The mineral cartridge has only been in use for two months. br>br>We send water samples to our local Leslies store for professional testing, after which the water is balanced. br>These cartridges appear to be costly, but I was willing to pay for them in exchange for ease of spa maintenance. At the end of the day, I'll manually pour 1/2 ounce of chlorine shock into the tub every few days, saving myself a ton of money and aggravation. I can't keep being concerned about why these cartridges aren't working properly.
We purchased the first four months' supply from the same spa store where we bought our spa. The canisters lasted anywhere from three to six months. Each one will last four weeks. We drained and refilled our tub at 4 months as recommended, using a new mineral cannister and a new chlorine cartridge that we purchased online. It's been less than 2 weeks, and I've noticed that there was less of a chemical smell than I've come to recognize when the chemical level is correct. Tested the water, and the chlorine level is too low, despite the fact that all of the other levels (pH, alkalinity, etc. ) are fine. At $15 per cannister, it's far too expensive to replace every two weeks!.
For the past few years, I've had these in my hot tub. A floating chlorine dispenser that accepts 3" tablets is a more affordable alternative. Each time you use the tub, add a teaspoon of baking soda. Chlorine, PH, and alkalinity will all be balanced without incurring such a high cost.
Although some of the reviews for these Frog cartridges have been negative, they have worked flawlessly in our 350 gallon South Seas hot tub so far. BUT. This is also humiliating. We had a lot of trouble with these at first because we didn't realize that before installing them, the individual cartridges had to be "opened" to a specific numbered setting. With both cartridges closed, we ran our hot tun for two weeks! Duh! We set them to the recommended setting after we opened them. The sanitizer should be in position 3 and the mineral should be in position 5 - We only needed to adjust the pH and hardness of the water with separate chemicals.
They're pricey, and they only last two weeks, but they're simple to use. I only use them when I'm going to be out of town for a week or two and need to keep the tub's chemistry in check. I use a tablespoon of generic chlorine powder whenever I need it at home. It's a bummer that Ease doesn't offer refillable containers. They must be greedy and unfriendly to the environment, I suppose.
A Tropic Seas spa was bought by me. I was sold after the salesman went on and on about how simple the cartridge system was to use and how long it lasted. The cartridges are a dreadful waste of money. They are always out of stock and don't last more than two weeks. This is becoming prohibitively expensive, so I'll be looking into a different floating system.
Instead of having to buy the cartridges separately, the set is good enough that we can buy one and have them last for three months. Simple to work with. Ensures that the spa is in good working order.
This is exactly what our spa required. Buying on Amazon rather than in a store is more convenient. In our spa, it works perfectly.
