The float should be able to hold a small amount of water. It prevents the pool from being blown out. The water can be easily drained by tilting the head area up and allowing the water to drain from the bottom. It doesn't take long to get rid of the water.

It's perfect! I love it when the Dog lets me. It's well-made. My four large dogs have climbed over it and pawed it out of the way, and as you can see from the photo, they enjoy climbing on it and laying down, but there is still no hole in it. It's simple to put on, and it keeps you in the water just long enough to keep you cool.
I wish I had the opportunity to return it to you. This should be known as the "Water Taco," in my opinion. This thing folds up on you if you're over 100 pounds. We received it as a Christmas present and waited until it was warm enough to use it. It's a total flop. So getting it fully inflated is purely a matter of luck. It's a real head-turner because I've never seen an inflatable item without that valve. scratching post Apart from that, everything is fantastic. The fact that you'll be partially submerged should be obvious from the photos. It isn't a raft, after all. It's super comfy, and you can tan while staying cool in the water by lying on your stomach. On these hot summer days, I'm loving it! The hooks on each side are useful for securing items that you don't want to lose (such as a bathing suit top, a small waterproof bag, or another float).
