Questions & Answers

How much heat can be generated by 2 panels for a 24' round ?

I did, but it wasn't as much as I expected. When it is long and hot outside, the 4 panels we have raise our 15x30 unground pool about 5 degrees. The temperature drops during the night, though. This is a relatively inexpensive option, so I'd definitely give it a

What if the pool has salt water?

My salt water pool can be used with it. It's my pleasure to help!

Do each of the panels hold a certain amount of water?

As of yet, I haven't installed them.

Is it possible to mount these ?

The answer is yes.

This section describes the works we have created You can place it in direct sunlight if you want! I got the two points The connection kit was included, and I have to admit that it took quite a bit of work to get it installed -- After gathering materials and assembling, running to the hardware store for more hoses and pipes and installing the roof, I probably spent 4 hours

don't see the setup as perfect, but it does what is supposed to do. You can use it if the sun is DIRECTLY Even though this seems obvious, I kind of hoped that I would have some benefit from running it if there were some cloud coverage, but there is no benefit. In the course of 6 hours, my 16' x 48" x 24" deep pool (about 4200 gallons) could gain about 6 degrees over the course of a nice sunny day (from about 1030 a. m. Monday through Friday, 30am to 4pm After 30 pm). If we had the choice, 88 degrees would be better). It is likely your results may be different since you live in a temperate climate (usually from the high 50's to the low 60's at night and from mid 70's to the high 80's during the day). It has happened a couple of times when I have had a few warm days in a row, and the pool can definitely get very hot. My heater has been turned off when the temperature reaches 90 degrees a couple of and it works a lot faster than the solar cover/heater we keep on the pool when it's not in use (but I suspect both will be equally effective! This is also not an ideal time to run this as it makes a great pool cooler when run after sunset. When the pool water is warmer than the ambient temperature and the return line doesn't have sun to raise its temperature, the water coming out of the return line will be colder.

It takes a while to get everything set up
5/5

Those panels measure 2' x 12' & also came with the roof There are lots of diver kits on the market. In 2017, the pool was simply Approximately 7 kilolitres). The stand is made from plywood and a lot of screws A solar panel is mounted with two 2x4s. It turned out that even with several wraps of the included Teflon tape, I had some leakage at the fittings. The leaking of those parts was finally eliminated by removing the teflon tape and applying thread sealant. Getting everything set up proved to be a hassle. We needed to go to the hardware stores several times to get the right fittings and hardware Solar heater is plugged into the pool's filtration system through hose(s). As others have mentioned, the system raised the pool temperature a couple of degrees on clear summer days, and it would drop several degrees overnight, or even several degrees upon rainy or hazy conditions. As long as I was mindful to turn on the pump once the panels were in the sun, and shut it off in the late afternoon when they got shaded, I was fine. Over the years, the pool has remained in the mid-50s A temperature range between 80 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. This has not just been COVID summer, but there was also strange weather attributed to the wildfires that swept the western states. We had more cloudy and hazy days than usual, and there were also a few ice storms and high winds. The state of Colorado was not the only source of smoke. Our neighboring states were also inundated, as well. The fact that our pool temperatures weren't as high as they could have been could have been attributed to this. A week or so were spent in the middle of our trip As a result of prevailing winds, all the smoke & smoke residue was blown away in August There were clouds, and the pool was sucked up until it reached the mid-afternoon The range is between 90° F and 95° F. In my opinion, that speaks volumes about the potential of these types of systems. The installation of the new pool took me just a few minutes. *5. 18' x 48" above ground (*3. A tank of 5,000 A partial day was needed A. & A. Today is Thurs. Initially I filled on day 2, then on day 3 (Friday I filled). We started with a 70°F temperature in the water. I chose not to splice into the pool filter wiring but instead employ a submersible pump (rated at 1,750gph) to divert water to the solar heater. Furthermore, if you have more than one We fed the solar heater with 1" hoses draped over the side of the pool. This was by far the simplest solution. The temperature of the water had reached 76° F by Saturday afternoon (the first day that the heater had been used). The temperature of the water reached 81 degrees Fahrenheit by Sunday afternoon. Just two days ago, it was clear and sunny with 90°+ degrees Fahrenheit. Although the water heater is running at relatively high flow rates, it still raises the temperature of the water 1 - 2 degrees The pool temperature is two degrees above the average. I'd like to point out one more thing. Water lines should not be routed in dangerous areas. Under some bushes in our yard, I had one run along the side. The mulch bed is under some bushes in the grass behind some lawn edging. We believe that our lawn care person kicked the dirt up along that edge of the lawn as he was string trimming. The hose was actually peppered with small 1/16" - thick holes due to the pressure. One of the 25' pieces of hose/tubing I bought had 1/8" holes, forcing me to buy a new piece. Thus, it should be noted that the heater is working. This heater works at a fraction of the cost of adding a propane/natural gas or electric One downside is that you will need to figure out how to route water to the pool heater from the heater and back again as well as deal with routing You are obviously at the mercy of Mother Nature, which is the second downside. This can be used on both sunny days & cloudy days It is caused by wildfire smoke.

It almost exactly matches the description

It appeared that all connections had been made. The Inlet and the Outlet I had a problem connecting the outlets to a standard pool hose because the connectors were too small. I bought the next size up at the Several of us hung on the edge of the You will need to cut in half the large rubber connector, so that you can connect the two panels There are two more large clamps you will need to buy. For hanging it on the side of the deck, we made straps out of seatbelts. As far as install and value go, it would've been 5 stars if I hadn't needed to purchase connections or clamps because it wasn't supplied with the correct size.

I really like how they work
5/5

The pool is 500 square feet and has a capacity of 15,000 gallons. This is the roof we installed in Indiana with 11 of these panels facing east and west. In the summer, the water coming out of the jets is significantly hotter than the average pool temperature when it is sunny. I have 5 jets facing east and 6 facing west. In the beginning of May, when we opened the pool and used the panels for the first time, the water was 56 degrees. The water temperature had risen to 87° a week later. then, the pool temperature has been kept above 85° except for a few cool, overcast, and rainy days with highs in the high 60s when the pool temperature dropped to the high 70s, but those weren't days you would normally swim. The pool temperature reaching over 90 by evening has been a usual occurrence with daily highs in the mid- and low 80s in the last few days. There were no major issues with the installation. The roof I have is a standing seam metal roof, so figuring out how to install it was a challenge.

While they are working fine, the interior threads didn't seal well even when they were sealed with tape. We'll see how well they hold up over the summer in Arizona.

It increases the number of days you can swim
5/5

With a 21 foot pool, it has done just what I had hoped. It is likely that the water will return five times its original volume If the sun is shining, the temperature increases by 10 degrees. During the day our pool's temperature can get up to 90 degrees, so we had to run the filter in the evening. I'm not too impressed with the product itself, but so far it's working fine.
