Questions & Answers

Has the heater been warrantied? If not, what kind of warranty does it have?

Those awards are theoretically possible, but obtaining Hayward to honor them is so very, very difficult. If I had not purchased the product from the retailer where I was able to speak with a person who stood up for me, I would have been left with Hayward shrugging and saying there was nothing they could do in my state. I mean it. would not have switched to a Hayward propane heater had I known then what I know now about Hayward propane heaters. I would have kept my electric pool heater instead and spent the money to switch over my hot water heater.

Should I rebuild my h250ped2 or buy a new one rather than try to rebuild my 10 year old ?

A new one should be purchased. This is due to the fact that they are It is so much safer and a lot better than my old heater. That one caught fire when I was working on it the new one isn't as dangerous.

Will 150,000 BTU be enough to heat only our attached hot tub if there is only 150,000 BTU at work?

Our pool is 26,000 gallons and is heated by a gas heater There are two degrees and hour in a day. Everything went smoothly, and we are very happy with the result!

Can you tell me how many gallons of gas the model 150 consumes in the first hour of operation ?

There is a 250-page report I have Gas is a major source of energy for it. The amount of time I spend going through a cigarette is about five It takes 10lbs per hour to do this. A temperature of 85 degrees is what I am using for my water

It's a workhorse
5/5

Here is what I have seen thus Anyways, after reading most of the reviews, many of which either recommended this heater or advised everyone to stay away from it, I decided to give it a go. The Hayward heat pump I have been using to heat my plunge spa has worked reasonably well for 12 years, but it was incredibly slow at heating in the spring and Because my pool is only 10 feet by 10 feet by 4 feet with an infinity edge, I chose the smallest propane heater I could find. It was straight forward to connect. The heater caught fire immediately, and I went from a 1 degrees increase every hour with the heat pump, to 1 degrees every 10 minutes with this heater. My workstation has worked flawlessly since I installed it four months ago, and I hope it will continue to work that way. Upon firing it up, you can hear a low rumble, and the water gets very hot as soon as it is turned on. There are only a couple of times when it turns on each As much as I dislike all the negative reviews, I'm going to give it a thumbs up.

Two seasons into this year and the heat exchanger has already cracked
3/5

Twice, a heat exchanger has cracked in the middle of the season. With this hearer, we have yet to get a full season. Initially, Hayward replaced the defective part, but did not do so a second time, and blamed the water's In my part of the world, we have a short swimming season, so when we open the pooled every year, it takes some time to get it balanced properly. Both failure instances occurred about a month after opening (pool is balanced and gas is properly injected), and the heating element had not cracked until it had been exposed to extreme heat. In order to bypass the water, as I cannot afford to replace a part of $800 that I have no faith it will hold up, I have installed a bypass.

I had no problems with my original heater for 10 years
3/5

I had no problems with my original heater for 10 years. It was installed at the end of the season, and ever since there have been leaks. It is now on my third full season that I need to replace the heater coil, which is half as expensive as the heater itself. Hayward products are not of the quality I am used to.

Customers are treated rudely and unhelpfully by the seller's customer service! This is a Hayward product that doesn't last
3/5

Bought it in March of this year. It was only used for three months during the summer at Poconos in Pennsylvania. We tried to turn it on in May 2020, but we were presented with an error code that could not be cleared even after we followed all the The seller told me, "I reached out to you. ". The manufacturer's number can be found online by conducting a search. The manner in which you conduct yourself is unprofessional and rude. It doesn't matter to them what their customers think. Their only concern is how much money they can get. You might be buying a thud if you aren't careful.

The package was damaged when it Shipment arrived damaged, probably as a result of It was a very disappointing experience
3/5

the top has a dent, the plastic around the outside is cracked, the framing around the boards and gas valve as well as the blower are bent and the blower shaft is wobbling. A new one was purchased, not one that was scratched or dented. The idea of asking for another seemed pointless to me. I would probably just approach them in the same manner. A new one would be prettier than this one, but this one works. The buyer should take care if the product is sent to them.

Is flawless in its performance
4/5

A growing number of people have become interested in our pool. The mere amount of 400,000 BTUs is more than enough to quickly warm up a 33,000 gallon inground During a short 8 hours, the pool went from 77 degrees to 86 degrees. Now, friends and family can enjoy a swim in the pool. As previously mentioned, it was easy to install by professionals who are very familiar with the brand. To ensure the heater lives as long as possible, please follow the maintenance instructions and balance the pool water as well as don't place When it comes to propane consumption, it is lower than expected considering the amount of heat produced. I was very pleased with the Amazon price of $1, which was among the best aspects of this purchase. Compared to the area pool shops, there is a $200 difference. The following is a word of caution if you are considering purchasing the "protective all metal covers for the control unit" that is listed under the heading, "Customers who bought this item also bought. " Neither the cover shown nor the manufacturer, Insync Engineering, will issue a refund due to the fact that the cover does not fit this Hayward model.

This heater is excellent
5/5

My most difficult task was finding the best price on the web. I had help from a friend who is licensed as a plumber and my brother in law who is licensed as an electrician to install the device. In other words, I was a muscle builder and a tool maker. As I have gone crazy with the code for the LO. In a video I watch, the LOW WATER PRESSURE is explained as the reason for the problem. Having taken apart and cleaned every water line, and going through every water line, I was able to get the heater working as I The product was excellent and the family enjoyed the swimming pool the following.
