Is there a need to strain off the top layer of the pool when you use it again?

Solar energy will be used to warm water on the surface, so the solar layer will remain. During that hot spell, as we swam, the water evaporated, so we had to add another 900 gallons of water to dilute the aqua pill. We then warmed it up with another of the 900 gallons.

When are they supposed to need to be replaced? How long will they last?

Your pool size determines how big you need your solar system to be. It takes a large dose of Aqua pill for my pool, which is 27 feet round. Over the last few weeks, while you swim your water evaporates daily. By adding water to the pill, the pill will become lower in strength. This may require you to keep track, how much you have used and how much you plan to use in the future.

does not actually heat the water, but prevents some evaporation, whereby it helps keep the water at a constant temperature. If the temperature of the pool gets up to 83 degrees on a really sunny day, over the course of a night that heat would evaporate away (ever seen fog rolling in your pool at sunrise? In that case, this can help mitigate the problem. I've been able to keep the temperature of my 36000 gallon pool at 80 degrees since I installed the solar pool heater.

There is a purple tint all over the pool, tile, and rock where the shards broke. The scrubber appears to be having a tough time.

When we opened our pool last week, it was 64 degrees and the water was a bit chilly. Immediately after I added the SolarPill, the temperature of the water had already risen to 78 degrees. As per the directions, I followed them to the letter. However, I lost just as much water as I had before I put the water In the end, you get what you pay for in purchasing something that you take a chance on and buying a real Despite fast delivery as usual, the instructions were easy to follow and it came exactly as described. I gave it 2 stars. We didn't find it suitable for our pool in southern Texas.
