It's a costly alternative that doesn't work at all. All of the instructions were followed: a level of alkalinity between 80 and 100 120°F, pH of 7. 4. A shock pack was used, as well as a bromide bank that had been built up. To begin, I set the mineral pack to setting 4 and the bromine pack to setting 5, and I figured I'd adjust from there. My water had turned murky and began to stink after two days. Around the perimeter of my spa, biofilm had already begun to form. It was a brand new spa, only two days old, that had to be drained, cleaned, rinsed, drained again, and refilled after my wife and I used it twice. I had to reheat a 500 gallon spa after cleaning the filters. It was supposed to be simple to keep up with. br>I've had no problems with the Frog system in my pool for the past four years, so I assumed this would be a good product. NOT PLEASED WITH PERFORMANCE. To make matters worse, I added six more bromine packs to my order. There isn't a single thing you can return. If you truly desire this item, consider purchasing it from a different vendor.
