This is part one of a three-part sanitizing system called Leisure Time Free, and it cannot be used with any chlorine-based system.
I've never had an algae problem when I combine control, boost, and free. Every six months, as recommended by the spa dealer, I change the water. Because we have a 300-gallon hot tub, changing the water is simple.
The free system is the best I've ever used! You still need to use spa and alkalinity up, but it's the best I've ever used!

One of the two bottles in the two-pack was leaking slightly. Fortunately, the bottle was packed in a bag, so the box it came in was not harmed. The leaking bottle has a small dent in it, which is most likely the source of the leak. The leak was minor enough that there was no need to send it back. We simply poured the new bottle into the old one that had been left empty.
I had previously used the bromine system, but this is significantly superior. My skin looks and feels a lot better, and the hot tub is spotless. The water is still clean and clear after three weeks of using it twice a day almost every day. I use very little product: once for the sanititizer, three times for the spa, and once for the control and boost (in the three weeks).
The product is out of date. I've made use of Purchases should be avoided. The product is out of date. I've used it three times and each time it leaves a sticky brown film on the water line that is nearly impossible to remove. I took a sample of the product as well as the bottle to two pool experts, and it appears that the product was stored incorrectly or is old.
It is less effective than bromine.
This chemical, which is the first of three, is an enzyme that breaks down soaps, lotions, and other products that are removed from your body at the spa. If you don't keep the level up, you'll get a very sticky ring around the water line, which means you'll need the Leisure Time Cleanse product.
The chemicals in the jacuzzi cause us to cough frequently.
My spa couldn't possibly be any more spotless. Leisure Time granuals are to blame, in my opinion.
