Small amounts of sand have been collected in mine, but it has not been confronted with large amounts. The catch basket has a fine mesh that should catch most sand particles, in my opinion.
It measures approximately 4 feet in length. If necessary, an extension cord can be used outside.
Because there is no " " on the box or the device, I assume it is not the plus model.
No, I don't think so.

This pool bot has all of the tools it requires to do an excellent job, but it does not clean the entire pool because it does not map it. I've had both a Dolphin and a Shark robotic pool cleaner, and while the Polaris bot is more advanced, it still falls short. I'm dissatisfied with the bot's lack of coverage. I would not suggest it.
This is a unit that I really want to like. The design, construction quality, and setup are all excellent. I like the fact that I don't have to clean a bag like I did with my aquabot. It's a lot of fun to host from the basket. The aquabot, on the other hand, did a much better job of cleaning in general, especially with very fine particles. The unit collects the very fine material, but it blows it right out the exhaust, making the pool appear clean for a few hours, but the fine particles settle back to the bottom over time. With the aquabot, this was not the case.
I rarely write negative reviews, but I bought the 9650IQ three months ago and it stopped working two days ago, displaying the message "Error 10. " After contacting the manufacturer, I was told that I could have it repaired at a local pool repair shop. The parts would be covered, according to the local company, but POLARIS DOES NOT COVER THE LABOR TO REPAIR THEIR FAULTY EQUIPMENT. You've got to be kidding! After 3 months of use, the warranty is only for 2 years and does not cover labor. That is completely absurd. I don't recommend buying a Polaris product unless you're willing to spend $150 on labor to fix it. You are purchasing at your own risk.
Straight out of the box, it's simple to set up. In less than 2 hours, I was able to clean a very dirty pool and turn it into a crystal clear pool. We didn't expect it to pick up sand and debris, but it did. I downloaded a user-friendly app, and my husband had it set up with the app in less than 8 minutes. I really like it.
It accomplishes everything I had hoped for. Setting it up was a breeze. It's just as easy to do it in the pool. The unit is so quiet that you'd never know it's on unless you're gliding across the pool. It cleans the pool exceptionally well.
So far, I've had it for about three weeks. It was a replacement for a previous model that had lasted about nine years. So far, it's been great, and unlike the previous model, it doesn't get stuck at the bottom of a step every now and then. The phone app is a brand-new feature that proves to be extremely useful. The pool is completely covered.
It is currently being serviced by a local pool company under warranty. I worked for about six months before quitting. Error code 10 was always present. It was a huge letdown after spending such a generous sum. br>Recent changes: I took it to Leslie's Pools in Columbus, GA on December 28, 2021, and they performed factory warranty work, and it is now working properly. Leslie's pools and Polaris for their warranty work deserve a big thumbs up.
E is a letter. The suction is excellent, and the application is very user-friendly. It's simple to use a pool vacuum ( I don't have to remind any of my college-aged sons to clean the pool because it's so much fun to operate. That alone made the purchase worthwhile; it's still early, so I'll update in a few months, but I'm very pleased so far. br>br>Con: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is not the place Only a one-year warranty is provided by the manufacturer. I couldn't even get a longer warranty because I couldn't afford it.
