Questions & Answers

Which is the best way to dispose of the dead flies? What should I do with ?

The tank continues to work even as the stinky liquid dries up, so I let the container mostly dry out and then dug a hole and buried the contents. The paper could be allowed to dry all After dumping out the dead flies, you don't really need to "clean it', you just need to dump it out. Adding the new attractant is as simple as that. It is a bonus that birds are drawn to the container and swoop down to catch the flies before they can even get there. Among the types of traps of this style, they are reusable and the least expensive. For making the smelly attractant you can buy more of the mix. After cleaning them and bringing them indoors for the Winter, they last for many years to come. There's something I really like about them These have been my go-to products for years and they never let me down.

Can this be used to kill ?

That doesn't seem to be the case, but I am not sure. During the time I've lived here, I've never seen any mosquitoes.

Could you please provide me with some recommendations in regards to keeping rain water out of the trap so that it doesn't fill I am finding this summer to be particularly wet. ?

Southern California is where I live, so I've never had problems like that. You might want to start off with less water if it is forecast to rain.

Do knats work with this?

From what I can tell, it's a flytrap. I find it wonderfully effective.

However, it doesn't work like it should
4/5

Besides being gross and smelling awful, it is also extremely disgusting. The thought of trying to empty that thing is horrifying. The act of closing it up and throwing it away just made me gag. Initially, I was going to re-use it, but when I smelled it and felt sick to my stomach, I decided to simply throw At this point, everyone should have a mask on hand and wearing one would probably be helpful.

There is one drawback to it, however IT The fly trap works and just keeps working until there are eight fingers of flies. Although some have said that the smell carried for some distance, it actually did not The closest I could ever get to it was a little over 6 feet away, and The subtlest scent was visible only occasionally. I bet if I had smelled more than a light scent, I would have gagged and would have remembered this! My next purchase will probably be a new one. A fly trap I bought was the best purchase I ever made.

It works like a charm, Even if it's full, let the liquid dry up

Be sure to let the surface dry between uses. IF the dead flies liquid still has any liquid in it, DO NOT dump it near you or At this moment, I'm looking for a replacement packet.

GO TO HELP! The non-profit sector I found the Toxic Reusable Fly Trap invaluable in controlling flies in my yard and eliminating the need to apply I used this tool to catch thousands of filth flies for a month or more before I replaced the bait

I saw a marked reduction in the number of flies in my yard. GO TO HELP! The non-profit sector POP Transparent Fly Trap is a non-toxic alternative to pesticides that can reduce or eliminate the use of pesticides. What is BAIT & Co. THE SMELL OF DEAD FLIES IS UNPLEASANT A solution is to place the container at least 20 feet away from patios and areas that often see foot traffic. Put a clothespin on your nose or wear a swimmer's nose The plug and the cable Place into leak-proof container Be sure to remove all plastic bags before throwing them If you have the stomach, you could certainly reuse the jar if it smelled so bad. However, I couldn't stomach it, and I never did reuse it. Initially baited and then re-baited When it becomes too full of flies, it is used. You don't want to put too much water in. Although the device will work if placed on the ground, it needs to be supported in order to avoid falling.

Flies seem to love these devices
5/5

This product is really good at attracting and catching them. an issue with flies in our yard and I bought 2 of them to see if they work.
As with all fly bait, the attractant smells extremely strong, so be aware of that when placing them outside. I had to move one further away from my house due to the strong smell. Since the 2 traps have been in place for about a week we have caught hundreds of flies, thus making a huge dent in our fly problem. It's hard to tell from the picture attached whether or not this product is effective. There are about 2 inches of dead flies inside the trap.

This is a gross but effective way of attracting cows to my backyard
5/5

In late summer and early autumn, I have to deal with more flies than I can imagine. Skylights and windows on my second story allow them to come up to the second floor and exit all over the floor, furniture, As if it were a horror film. A model of this is on the deck of my second floor. It was filled with flies within a few days, and I scarcely saw one within my home. My use of these items has since increased to a dozen. It is truly disgusting to smell the dead flies in my house, but it is worth it to not have them covering up the rest of Be careful not to tip it over. You will regret it.

It is the buyer's responsibility to be cautious
3/5

As I activated the ingredients for the fly trap for the first time, the odor was extremely strong, but I was hopeful it would improve after a day or two. It did, to some extent. Traps did work as they drew in flies and did the As we were about to clean the trap so we could refill it, we encountered the problem. My first step was to put on gloves as instructed, and I also put on the mask I thought of I was able to control my gag reflexes, nevertheless. As soon as I removed the top of the container, I started gagging and my stomach took control, which was A container was full of shriveled insects as well as maggots and other crawling things, and the vile smell of the container is hard to describe. It is obvious that I will have to consider other options.

Zillions of flies are trapped in it
5/5

It doesn't matter what the description says, just close it, throw it in a garbage bag, and throw it away once the container has been filled. There's no way I could use it for the reusable 'feature,' and there's just no way I could use it. As soon as it gets going, this thing stinks like death. The sizes I used for these are two different ones. The next time I get one, I might try putting a bread bag or something in it just in case I can remove it and re-use it Please use it, but otherwise, it will be thrown out when it is There is no way to stop it from filling up - it fills up very fast. As well as warnings Buying this stuff will bring more flies into your yard than you already have, so don't expect to only see those annoying ones, but a lot more. It smells, so keep it away from your patio and the like. Time will tell whether it decreases fly numbers.

Oh wow, it smells so good
3/5

Due to a moderate fly problem, we purchased this to keep our deck insect-free. Despite it appearing to trap flies, the number of flies that were trapped overall had a small effect. Despite this, the small was awful. It was as if we went under the deck thinking we had a dead animal underneath. I don't think there will be any As we neared the fly trap, we realized there was a strong smell. As soon as it was relocated, we noticed the dead animal smell. After throwing away the trap, we still have the same amount of flies, but there is no dead animal odor. I wouldn't recommend it for a deck or anywhere you intend to spend a lot of time on.
