Questions & Answers

Are ortho home defense indoor, ortho home defense perimeter2, and the ortho home defense max the same?

There is one fewer active ingredient in the Max, and it is more expensive to remove.

You get two refills each time, or does the '2' represent the number of refills?

It is only possible to refill one time

Are these products effective against yellow jackets and hornets?

When I sprayed it, it took out 2 hardshell hornets, the type I'd noticed before.

Let's put an end to the bugs! Although it doesn't have a nasty chemical smell, it can damage your wood floors, but it's safe for the floors and kills the bugs on contact, keeping them from running around your home
5/5

My home is treated with this annually, and I've found it to be a great product. The inside and the outside of me are the same. It is best to keep enough spray around to kill anything that pops up (ants in the walkway). You simply need to spray and it is solved.

The apartment I moved into in Texas had a kitchen and a bathroom
5/5

As soon as I moved into my new apartment in Texas, I faced a roach infestation unlike anything I had ever seen before. Having to use four of these bottles during 45 days was enough to get rid of the infestation, but I must add that the problem cleared the entire half of my apartment, not just my apartment. This stuff seems to work,.

My family uses it three to four times a year and it keeps the bugs away
5/5

Most of my friends live in SW Florida and they all use a professional exterminating company for bugs. Costs range from $500 to $1,500 for the service. You will have to pay between $100 and Based on the service they purchase, they may spend as much as $800 a year. It is both the exterior walls and windows, as well as the interior windows and walls that I work on. The two I buy are both $10 each. This is what the exterminating company's guy uses on the walls. Fill a jug of this with this and spray it on the walls. It takes me 4 months to do this. My schedule is three times a year, which is the opposite of the schedule on which it is listed. So far I have not encountered any bugs in the four years I have lived down here. I don't know what my friend's are paying for all that money when I am perfectly content with the stuff I use. I recommend that you spend $10 on this. Fill up a 1 gallon pump sprayer with the solution and spray it in. A million times is so much easier to spray than it is to squeeze that trigger.

I have mixed feelings about it
4/5

The husband (efficiency) vs the The last star needs to be replaced by me, so my husband wants me to do so. This is what I'll say to justify I've seen him Using the product is easy. It takes hardly a splotch of paint to kill an earwig on the floor after you apply it to the corners of the room. He has been experiencing seizures for weeks after using this stuff, says his wife. Neither the bugs nor my knowledge of them have touched the spots where the bug spray was applied. In addition to living here, I also have to work here. I've seen him Door frames and window frames were treated on the outside. Flying in, spiralling out, and dying, the moths were sucked in. There is no doubt that mosquito repellent is the best form of I found this to be highly disappointing because it implied that it contains evaporating chemicals, which would be difficult Although I cannot deny it works, not for 12 months, it certainly does work for months. There aren't any swamps in the southern part of the region. There is a lot of humidity and often temperatures in the high 100s This may or may not affect the effectiveness or toxicity of the chemicals, but I really don't know. My family has found it to be the most efficient appliance we have ever My number one nemesis, the fire ant, doesn't stand a chance. I remove fleas, spiders, kudzu beetles, centipedes, roaches, and anything flying easily. gave it that last star because i get migraines for a month after I use it even on a limited basis. Although that is my choice as a consumer that I have made since I want to avoid itchy bites, burning fire ant stings, and other creepy crawly oober unsanitary bugs. However, I would not recommend it for homes with Those are my own personal views.

Money is too valuable to be wasted
3/5

This product is not up to the standard I expected. First and foremost, the sprayer is disgusting. As I was browsing the internet, I came across several blogs from years ago complaining about the sprayer not working properly after its When it was used a second time, I had to replace the batteries for it after the first 2 weeks of usage, but it was like a stream of water from a hose. The other night (5 weeks after purchase), my family found itself in need of assistance. What's the reason? My two sprays did not address spider activity, which I had thought would be taken care of. The sprayer did not work at all when I tried to spray the spiders coming into the house through the sliding glass door. The batteries need to be replaced again! I didn't use the battery more than two times within the last five weeks, so I replaced it. In the blogs, it says to soak the sprayer in warm water to clean in it, or "put the sprayer in the water and hold it waist high. " I hear you saying "WHAT! " I was wondering if it needed to be cleaned out after two uses, but only five weeks passed? As for the other factor, I bought this to save money since I am disabled and on a fixed income, AND I cannot raise this thing above my waist! Let's just say that I don't recommend it in any way. Getting a pro back on the job. We are still not dealing with the sprayer issue despite the fact that it has been known for years as evidenced by the blog.

It is not reliable to use Ortho's wand
3/5

In the last six years, I have purchased three or four HomeDefense items, but I am hesitant to write a review and trust it will not reflect negatively on the seller. This is my third or fourth purchase of Home Defense What is the reason I continue to do this? The truth is that I do not know, and I There are two wands that are faulty out of four. Usually, they work the first time or the second time. It might be a good idea to use about 1/2 cup or 1 cup of However, after you store it, turn it off at the nozzle, turn it off on the power, and then turn it off at the Having to spray again after the nozzle was removed is frustrating. When it gets clogged, it gets blocked. Those who wish to spray want to do so. Nothing comes out of it, but it makes the noise. Although I have washed it, it doesn't seem to work. As of this writing, Ortho has not responded. This will not be a purchase I make Several times I was fooled by you. If you are interested in finding another sprayer, find another company since theirs fails to blow, or at least stinks.

This stuff works very well, I live in the woods and I see all sorts of crazy type of insects in the area, some of which you certainly do not want to come into your house
5/5

doesn't last six months though, probably about 3 to 4 months at most, and I do have to spray about every two to three months to maintain the full strength of the protective barrier.

The product demonstrated is not the ORTHO HOME DEFENSE MAX. *Determines the lifespan of a product The protection of all and the protection of all. On the left, you can see a picture.
