Likewise, my husband has a larger head and his mesh net fits over his baseball cap and came down around the base of his neck with plenty of room to tuck into his shirt. The grey mesh is transparent, so I should be able to read my iPad or do other tasks quietly. Smaller insects can't get through the wire mesh, and so they sit on the outside of the fine mesh instead. It seems that these nets stand up well to heavy usage. It has an attached drawstring so you can keep it tight around your neck. It seems to be a pretty good way to keep skeeters off of your face. I tucked the excess in the collar and then buttoned the shirt up. A ball cap or boonie can easily be worn over it. Using this method proved to be more effective for me. In the northern country, I have used this type of netting before. It is cheap insurance that will prevent your sanity from being compromised.

A severe outbreak of biting gnats in Wisconsin farm country has caused late spring misery. There are red welts on the face, neck, and ears of a dog that itch for days after being bitten. A grey net like this makes life in the outdoors much more bearable. Constantly used to walk the dog, mow the lawn, and do yard work.

I couldn't ask for anything better and this is Before, I had purchased a barrier roll of mosquito bug insect net that measured 8 x 10. There was a mess once the rolls were cut and they were a little hard to cut into even pieces (I ended up cutting pieces and dropping them since they had weird cuts), and I had to bunch the net up and use clothes pins to keep the herbs safe from snails and other bugs. It's awesome to be on this website! I found a solution to all my pest problems with this. Although I have no idea how long the elastic will last now that it is outside, that is not a problem since I'll just buy more of it.
