If the original container has been opened, the gallon has an 18-month shelf life (securely close the gallon between uses). Use it on in the fogger. There's nothing hot about it.
If that's what you mean, it doesn't heat the liquid you put in it. If you mean can you put hot water in the reservoir and make it fog, I believe you can. Since water boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit, the plastic and tubing should be able to withstand the hot liquid, though I haven't tried it. However, if it gets too hot, it can cause scalding. Depending on the wind, it's impossible to predict which way the fog will move.

When spraying for pests, it's critical to get good coverage and, in particular, the undersides of the leaves, where eggs are laid; using the fogger made this much easier because the entire leaf could be coated at once. With excellent coverage, what would normally take thirty minutes was reduced to ten minutes.
