This item is effective. I live in a state with a lot of mosquitos, which makes going outside a chore. The scent is the only aspect of this product that I don't care for. I'm sure it's preferable to not having a scent, but it's extremely strong and pungent, and it lingers. Follow the directions carefully, and don't use the area you're trying to enjoy until after you've sprayed it. Aside from that, if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself It does exactly what it says on the tin and keeps the mosquitos at bay!.
Last year, however, I purchased a can of this and it worked perfectly. The set that was sent to me was completely useless. The mosquitoes were not repelled or killed by it. I'm sure I sprayed at least two mosquitos. They had buzzed around happily for four times each. Also, one can didn't last very long (possibly because I had to use so much of it to get it to work at all). It has a strong odor and does not work as well as I expected.
THIS PRODUCT ON ITS OWN - No way, it's not going to work on its own - and it ought to, given its high cost!.
Since the weather began to heat up, I had been going outside less and less. With a little forethought, this product has allowed me to go outside. I step outside, spray a small amount (while keeping an eye on the wind direction), wait a few minutes, and then go about my business. It's effective, and it doesn't require a lot of effort.
It does exactly what it says it will, clearing the area of flying insects in 5 minutes and lasting about 3 hours. 5 hrs.
I'm always getting ate up whenever I'm outside, so these come in handy when going camping, fishing, or just hanging out in the backyard; no more worrying about an open flame or a hot citronella candle! Just make sure you allow enough time for the fog to clear. Lower it to the ground and spray it with it.
These were purchased at Lowes but were out of stock, so they were available on Amazon. We are in southern Texas, which has a high mosquito population. It doesn't, however, last for six hours.
This smells and works like the old yard guard, so I'm guessing it's it. It's pricey, but a little goes a long way in keeping the bugs at bay.
