After my husband shattered three pieces of ordinary plastic and wire, I went fly-swatting with plastic swatters one night, looking for something that would stand up to his zealous fly-hunting. These are great fly swatters with a good weight and snap, but most importantly, they hold up well. It's not even a problem if you hit the edges of metal furniture. br>br>They appear to be pleather rather than genuine leather, which means they will eventually die when they become brittle and crack, which will happen in more than ten years unless they are kept in direct sunlight. In the meantime, they are more water resistant than genuine leather. br>br>In conclusion, this is a good, durable fly swatter with a nice leather look that is good for wreaking havoc on the local fly population, but if you want real leather, look elsewhere.
It appears to be made up of two high-quality vinyl flaps that have been stitched together. It has a thick, long, and well-made handle. The handle and the plastic head appear to be well-riveted. If the stitching holds up, this should last quite a while. It's possible that this is the last fly swatter you'll ever need. br>br>For being untruthful, one point has been deducted. It's definitely not made of leather.
I've had it for a year and five months and it's still going strong, with no signs of wear or tear. This fly swatter was a good purchase. That is why I went out of my way to find a different brand/seller. However, the handle on both the leather and the other seller I purchased is shorter, but they sold four fly swatters for the same price, which I purchased for my parents. My parents adore it (4 fly swatter) because it kills insects and does not break easily. But I prefer this two-fly swatter (both $18). 99) due to the longer handle, but it could also do the same thing with a shorter handle. 5 star.
We've had these for a few weeks and there hasn't been a single kill. I'm curious if the flies will be scared for the rest of the summer.
The paddle area is nice and thick and large, and the wire handle does not bend easily, which is a good thing. The paddle wraps nicely to hit the target when swatting on the table's edge. These are something I'd buy again.
Flyswater is a large, heavy-duty flyswater. Because of the price, I was hesitant to buy them, but I am glad I did. I'm glad I made the decision to do so. I'm 100% accurate and don't need to chase flies down. Every time I use this swatter, I kill them.
I'm 68 years old and have owned a lot of fly sweaters over the years. This is without a doubt the best fly swatter ever made! It's powerful enough to deliver! The flies have no chance. "This fly swatter is kick ass!" I exclaimed to my husband the first time I used it. " I really like it. The money was well spent.
Would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that the flap is held together by a metal screw-like thing. So, if you're working with glass, you'll want to be extra cautious.
