My fly swatters are silent. They lack a manufacturing origin identification as well. They swat flies regardless of where they are from. I imagine that flies in China are similar to those in the United States.

These aren't the swatters my grandmother used to use on me when I was a kid. I'd be ecstatic if they'd been in my biological family at the time. They don't swat as quickly as they should because the holes aren't well "laced" or whatever you want to call them. It's made of flimsy plastic that makes swooshing through the air difficult. With chopsticks, I'll be able to catch more flies! I'm serious. It's a good thing I don't use them on my kids. I'd get a good laugh from them. By the way, I'm not a fan of hitting people I care about, and I hope that this is no longer the case. I'm just sharing a personal experience I had with similar devices when I was younger. After swooshing through the air and fidgeting with them, I'll update my review if I discover they're of higher quality than I originally stated. I'll put them through their paces with bugs and update as necessary. For the time being, I just feel like there's too much wind resistance for me to quickly swat a bug, and I'm afraid it'll snap if I hit a table or counter. Plastic snapping when hit by a fast-moving force appears to be a bit frightening. Clearly, I've spent far too much time in recent years trying to figure out how to keep fly swatters from being used as parenting tools.

Even when the screen door is slammed shut, a couple of pests manage to get inside. I was working on my computer when I noticed a faint buzzing in my ear.
