Neither handles nor grips are on it. The bottom of the bag has a drawstring. It has only been a few weeks since we've used it, but it seems to be well made. Because of the sharp edges on the pit, we decided to order a 32" cover for a 30"

With this cover, you can easily put it on and take it off because it's large enough. No doubt, this product is waterproof and is rugged enough to endure storms and bad weather. This bag is not going to move even if there are no drawstrings at the bottom.
My cheap fireplace had came with a cheap cover. I ordered this to replace it. This one is heavy duty and waterproof, as I live in a place where we have rain almost every day. The cheap one tore and let water in, causing the rocks and lighter to wet, so I bought this one. In the description, it didn't mention having side vents, but it did come with them to ensure that it stays cool and dry. My experience with this purchase was very positive.
This cover was purchased for the Telvin Steel Wood Burning Fire Pit (because it was alleged to rust Here's another one that's similar to that (pretty close in appearance) A Pleasant Hearth Martin Extra Deep Wood Burning Fire Pit, 26-Inches x 22-Inches The inch was exactly the right size. I love that the bottom of the dress can be adjusted to fit. Keeping it from hitting the elements is just about possible by cinching it under the base.
My fire pit is 32 inches wide, so I bought this to protect it. Although it fitted well, there was a gap at the bottom, so the feet of the fire pit soaked up water. That would have been OK, except that when I removed the cover after raining, the top of the fire pit was sopping During the time I removed the cover, it was dry. My only guess is that the cover's seams were right where the fire pit table's top edges were, so they could have been pegged at the right spots. In addition, the seams didn't allow water to pass through. It could be that I've just received the wrong Returning it to the manufacturer.
In the wake of a heavy downpour, I removed the cover and found that quite a bit of water had seeped through the cover and gotten into the fire pit. caused by the flat top of the cover, which causes puddles of standing water to accumulate around the edges until they evaporate and will leak water through the fabric at some point. I think it would be nice if the top was designed to have a slight slope to.
I like the way it fits and it has worn well thus far. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it.
It has been over a year since I purchased my square SHINESTAR fire pit cover and it has endured harsh weather up until now, from blazing hot temperatures of 90 degrees plus with humidity, to cold temperatures below zero in winter. The cover does not crack when it gets cold, like many other brands of covers do! Ventilation on the sides of the cover keeps condensation from building up under it. The cover is great in every way. In an attempt to purchase another one as a gift, I am currently doing so.
In addition to this fire pit cover, I also bought a standard one that came with my fire pit, but the corners had ripped so it was not protecting my fire pit. A bungee ensures a tight fit around the bottom to ensure that the cover is not blown away due to the construction. In Ohio, I put the cover on the fire pit a couple weeks ago, and I hope it will keep the fire pit covered and dry this winter.
