The pieces were not on the finished side facing away from the fire, so they must all be There was also a lot of dirt on the metal. As there have been a lot of reviews about corrosion on this ring, I wanted to paint it with some high temp barbecue grill paint in order to prevent it from corroding. In the end, I gave up trying to remove the slag because I had to clean so much. Apparently some of it would break off by lightly tapping the screwdriver on it, but other parts would not even break off in the same way if tapped It is thicker heavy duty metal (12 gauge is way better than 16 or 18 gauge), the cutouts are nice and crisp on the display side, the packaging prevented damage, and it makes a really big 48" ring. I gave it 4 stars.
This scene wouldn't have been so overwhelming if it hadn't been so dirty and hadn't had so much slag (i. e. A paintable product or already painted) I would easily give it five.

The picture shows a black color, which is not the case. Despite being exposed to the air for days, raw metal started rusting instantly. I would like it if the company made it clear that it is not painted black and it is prone to rust. Otherwise, we like the product a lot.
