It was never a problem before the cover, since the wind barely touched the heater. A breeze is all that is needed to knock your heater over when this cover is caught. my review is trolled by the brain trusts of the Internet brain trust, the base of the heater is filled with sand, as well as the weight of a propane tank almost full. It has been on my heater for a few months now, and it seems to be a fairly durable product. As soon as I got the cover, I moved it outside, and it hasn't been an issue since. Since it is always exposed to the sun, it has faded on top however, I don't see the top, so it isn't an issue. It has not faded much since it is mostly covered. I'd be a bit disappointed if the rest still faded because a greyish dull color would result. In case of rain, I don't know if it will hold up well. We live in Southern California where it doesn't rain very often. During this winter, I will find out how it performs. Thus far, I am pleased with how the product is handling.
There are 6 heaters I own, and all of the covers are too tight to fit. They pull down about 3/4 of the way, but the top is too tight so the heater top bends.
