It shouldn't take more than 40 pounds to accomplish this task.
The one I use is in my gas pit outside, not sure if yours is like that
There are about 200 cubic inches in each bag.
During the whole season, I never had an issue with this product. On top of my unit, I use it on top of a layer of lava. There has been rain or moisture in the lava rock, hasn't there?

After I gave it a good rinse and put it in the table, I scooped out a piece at a time. Also, the colors came in 3 separate bags, so if you don't want it mixed, you can. I love how it looks and how it works! The size of my table is about one foot by one foot. The bowl is approximately 18" x 18" in size and is approximately 5 inches deep. After a layer of lava rocks on the bottom and glass over it, I found that 1 bag of lava rocks was perfect! You can go 2 bags if there are no rocks. Deftly beats the $65 lb packs at the big box stores in terms of size and price!.
This is the perfect size and color! It was my first purchase of fire glass ever and I was very confused about which size and color(s) I should get, but couldn't be more pleased with my choice anyway A 1/2" hole is the perfect size to use, and it isn't overly large either. In all honesty, I know I would have been disappointed if I had chosen the 1/4", thinking it would be too big. It is best to choose mixed glass so there is not too much of one color. A copper, lt green, and gold color scheme The results are amazing! I'm so happy! It would have been nice if the mixes had been pre-mixed, though (I didn't want to mix it in the fire pit table itself, so I put it in a large box with taped bottoms, pouring part of each bag and mixing thoroughly with gloves. The end result was great, but it took a lot of work! It would be more expensive to buy premixed next time.
I really like how the three colors of glass work It was too light for the fire pit, I needed a full 20 pounds instead of 15 pounds (per the fire pit manufacturer) The pieces are smaller, so maybe that explains it? Whatever the case may be, the colors are beautiful, and mixing them by pouring between two buckets was easy and effective!.
Colors like those on my firepit really remind me of the ocean, and they make it look very sleek and sophisticated. The mirror finish on one side is pleasant to look at. I rinsed off in a calendar with a hose, wiped it dry on a towel, and then used a towel to dump it in the Put on rubberized gloves of some type to spread the dust around, but there are tiny pieces of glass that will harm As it is glass, it will break, so it must be present somewhere. I believe this is a very worthwhile purchase.
We applied them to our table firepit to make it a little more cheerful by mixing the colors we liked or leaving out those we did not like. I love that the two colors are separated, allowing you to mix or leave out colors you dislike. Even though the clear glass is not melting, I can tell it is bubbling and melting by my eyes. I find this effect quite fascinating and.
I am completely satisfied with this product, as it has worked as advertised. Just keep in mind that not all pieces are 1/2". Quickly, there were a few that were larger than an inch and a few that were smaller than a half inch. That's something you should keep In addition, it is packaged in three separate bags instead of one premixed bag. The design of this fireplace fits well with gas fireplaces and it is working.
I too, find it to be beautiful and even in the daytime it sparkles from the sunlight. If it's lit at night, the flames create a beautiful shimmer. Stones were purchased to match the colors in the room, and even the fireplace installers noted what a great job it looked like.
It gives my fireplace a whole new look I absolutely love! My next purchase would be without a doubt! It's great how each color comes in its own bag, so you can mix and match the colors however you like. Prior to cutting the glass, you will need to rinse them because the cuts have left behind dust and powder. I used a large wooden spoon to scoop some of the pieces into the fireplace because some of the pieces were broken into small shards (which is expected). The two bags were enough to fill my bag, and the money was well spent.
