How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

98.6% of the reaction was precalibrated at 77°F and 3000 ppm salt (NaCl)
Temperature compensation built into the ATC sensor salt conversion factor (NaCl) built into the meter for automatic
It provides a salt concentration range of 0-5000 ppm temperature range of 0-55 °C or 32-130 °F. It is not waterproof (please purchase the SALT-3050 if you need a salt meter that is waterproof).
The system works ONLY when assessing Salt levels in saltwater pools and all Koi Fish Ponds.
It WILL NOT work for testing the salt level of seawater/marine/salt water fish tanks! It WILL NOT work for testing the salt level of food! The application will not work on any other program!

Questions & Answers

How can this be used to test salt water pools? I own a pool company. ?

The purpose of this device is to test salt levels in salt water pools. We request that you don't drop this meter in a swimming pool, as it is not waterproof. When it comes to waterproof ones, SALT-branded ones are the best The length of this wall is 3050 meters.

Do the measurements on this tds meter work properly to measure salt levels in my koi pond?

Salt water swimming pools are what I use it for. I don't have a problem.

Why does the hold button show only a blink instead of the last reading when it is pressed?

To Long-Term Holding

The alkalinity of the water affects the reading of the ?

It hasn't affected the reading at all when alkalinity is present. We have found it to be very effective. As the alkalinity fluctuates due to the salt system, the salt readings seem to be very accurate, despite its variable nature.

Rather than strips, this works better
5/5

It takes about 7 minutes This item cost me $350 8 years ago but up until this year some of the LCD bars that were on it were failing. I thought it was a decent price The new one I bought last week is even better as it is now calibrated at 3000 ppm, which is what our salt water pool needs. The pool's ppms had been diluted by a wet winter (rain) and I added a couple bags of salt (after adding a couple 40 lbs bags). We have no trouble detecting 3250 ppm as it does the same as I would highly recommend getting one of these meters if you have a salt water pool. The user interface is simple and intuitive. Set it on, and dip it about an inch in water (e. g. Make sure that you do not totally submerge it) and take a PPM Easy to do. The following review was written in the hopes of helping you!.

This is NOT a salt meter eSeasongear falsely labels it as one
3/5

The pool water reportedly read 5400PPM salt when it arrived, but water was tested at two different pool companies and the reading was There is no help from eSeasongear. It is referred to as OEM or It is not really a salt meter, they said. The TDS is the only one read. I followed the OEM's re-design The calibration was performed with water coming from a swimming pool with a 3400PPM flow rate. A matching pool company reading is now available. It is important to remember that when hardness changes with rainwater or if you add chemicals to alter calcium hardness, this meter will be inaccurate.

Having begun to have problems with the salt cell, the manual recommended that I have the water tested by a professional. I made an appointment with Leslie's Pool Supply to get my water tested. We held off on adding 120 pounds of salt to the pool after they sold us 120 pounds of salt. A tester of this kind was also ordered by me. We received a new salt cell the next day along with the tester. I ran a diagnostic on the new salt cell when I installed it. Salt cell diagnostics came up with the same results as this tester. Despite the high salt levels, we did not suffer any negative side effects. ppm 3400. Our pool water is sparkling and in balance because we did not add so much salt. I believe this tester and chemistry strips accurately read our pool's conditions. There will not be another time where we waste an hour getting the water tested only to purchase chemicals we do not Our computer can give us accurate results in less than.

With salt (kwh) in the range of 2500 to 3500 ppm, this meter will work well
5/5

TDS- This product has been described in the product description The 4 TDS Meter (Made by HM Digital) has been calibrated at 300x10 ppm of TDS (using a water + salt calibration solution. ). The part number for this particular item has changed as a result The TDS4TM - Adding enough salt to tap water to reach 3000 ppm won't make it count as TDS, but it will read about 300x10 (3000) if you bring it to 3000 ppm. in the water in your pool will add more than a few hundred TDSolids, so this meter should give you an accurate reading of the salt level in your pool (ppm), so you can also use it as In fact, any type of TDS meter can be used to measure pool salt ppm, but the standard TDS meters are only calibrated at 342 ppm as posted on the manufacturer's website and on the packaging. If you want to use your SWG correctly, you need approximately 3000 parts per million in your pool. The digital meter should be calibrated with a standard that is close to the value you wish to measure (in our case, 3000 ppm). If you choose a cheaper meter, be aware that it may not be calibrated accurately to read the 3000 ppm range. As a result of the calibration at 3000 ppm, this meter is extremely accurate from around 2500 to 3500 ppm (salt), but you shouldn't expect it to be very accurate for small values, such as you might find in Itemizer for TDSMeters. You can read a pretty good overview of how TDS meters operate and how they will be calibrated on this website. I have attached photos of the product, which show all the documentation it comes with. Thank you so much for Prime Day! I received my meter very quickly!.

We purchased this as a salt meter for our pond, and it seems to work very well
4/5

This meter was purchased after our entire pond was salt-damaged by an unfortunate water salting event before we had any sort of salinity meter. We will be using it when salting our pond and salt baths for our koi. It is now safer to add pond salt and we know the optimum levels for the safety of the fish and plants, and the fish are happily swimming in the pond now. I assume that the tester is still alive. It can only function if it is still alive. There is no salt reader! It is just a TDS meter with a sticker on it to make it seem that way, but don't worry! In addition to salinity, it reads the temperature! In addition to measuring temperature, this gadget offers many other benefits.

It does not do what it is advertised Worked fine for me
3/5

The test was purchased to check the pool water, but somehow the readings came back with large variations or not at all. In addition, please be aware that if you intend to return an item, you must get the seller's approval. It was only the weekend before I decided to return it, and then I had to wait two more days to get approval. You're required to pay for the return as well. eSeasongear is a scam. Do not buy from them.

Re-branded as a salt meter, but still use TDS meters
3/5

Rather than calling this something else, this is actually a TDS There is no brand name attached to the outside of the packaging, so it is called a salt meter by a simple printed label. A sticker on the device claims it is a salt meter as well. My expertise is not in chemistry. However, this may be adequate for testing salt in a pool (maybe pool salt is enough percentage of concentration to work Please feel free to tell me what you know). Having said that, I found it to be relatively accurate in measuring levels.

I find out that my pool still has plenty of salt in it
5/5

A low salt indicator can make you lose sleep. Use this tool to determine why this is happening. Having had Hayward TurboCell salt cells fail on me three times now, I know the all-too-well-known issue It's too much- There were frequent and bogus suggestions that I should add salt. Low salt readings can be a sign that a cell is failing, and mine was reading 1900 ppm with no chlorine being produced. A cheap tester sounded good to me, so I purchased it. In addition to the tester used by the pool store and the pool serviceman who came by to do something else, I compared the readings from two additional tests. In general, all were within the range of 3200- 3400 There are 3500 parts per million in the atmosphere. (I also tested the tester in distilled water. A pH of 03. 0 is within the acceptable range of tap water (300 ppm). contain 80 parts per million salt, but the way things are going, I am more inclined to trust this tester.
