Yes! Please tighten the cover clockwise until it can no longer be tightened to make the submersible LED light completely waterproof before putting it in the water.
These do not stick at all, and the remote does not work once submerged in 2' of water.
They have a strong grip on a smooth surface and are difficult to remove. A total of four suction cups and four magnets are included with each underwater light.

One of the lights lost its seal after about three weeks, allowing water to enter and eventually destroy it. Based on the reviews, I guess I'm not the only one who has experienced this. It's a shame because they were fun to work with. They eat batteries, as well, as has been reported. I had them set to a 24-hour timer, but I turned it off after the batteries died after about a week of two-hour days. It's the kind of thing that works in a remote location. I was able to turn on from 50 feet away! ) and one would turn on; other times, I'd be standing right next to them and it would either work or not. For their size, they actually lit up our inground pool quite well. br>I even made a nice stainless steel mount to attach them to our pool ladder (see photos). It was, after all, a bit of a test. I'm not sure I'll be able to get them back now.
Horrible design; the instructions say to tighten down to make it waterproof, which I did, and this is the result! They were put to use in my water fountain. JUNK to the max. Not to mention the constant need to replace the batteries; in just under two months, I went through two cases of top-brand batteries and set the timer for four hours every day. There are only two of them. Each set of batteries will last for three days!.
When water breached within a week, the product was returned. Replacements were sent out right away, but they had already ceased to work. The lights keep flashing and won't stop. I was disappointed.
We're talking about every two weeks. Three days have passed.
I bought these to light the end of my pool that was not lit by the wired light. Even when submerged, they stay put, turn on, and can be controlled. Dimmable and very bright. A useful feature is the timer.
br>Unfortunately, the colors don't penetrate very far, and after about a week, they stop working.
In the bottom of my Yeti cooler, I stuffed these bad boys. The drinks and ice were tossed in, and the generator was turned on. The cooler is putting on a light show! Legit!.
