Magnets can rust, and the magnets on another brand of pool lights I'm looking to replace are currently rusting. If you leave rusty objects in your pool, they will leave an irreversible stain.
Hello, the submersible pool lights are equipped with four large 25mm suction cups that can grip the pool or hot tub tightly. Make sure the vinyl pool liner is clean and smooth before using the suction cups. The built-in magnet in the submersible pool light is sealed, so it won't damage your pool liner.
Yes, as long as the liner is clean and smooth, everything should be fine.
These things are a pain in the neck for me! Because you don't know when they come on, batteries drain quickly almost every time you press any remote button on any device.

I was excited to order these lights for our pool after reading the description and seeing the pictures. I bought enough batteries to last a while, so when they arrived, I unpacked them, loaded them up with batteries, tightened them up, and tossed them in the pool. Stronger magnets were described in the description, and they worked well. I didn't think the suction cup option was necessary because they adhered well to the pool walls. br>br>Now that the lights were turned on in the pool, all I needed was for darkness to fall. When it did, the thrill of anticipation gave way to disappointment. I expected the lights to be much brighter, but they were not. Furthermore, the lights are difficult to synchronize so that the colors, fading, flashing, and other effects do not occur at the same time. This is due to the fact that the remote must be pointed at the lights, which is impossible to do when the lights are dispersed throughout the pool. Because they don't communicate with one another to sync, the only way to do it is to connect them all, turn them on, select the effect you want, and then drop them into the pool. Unless you only wanted solid colors, you'd have to start over if you changed your mind. br>br>While this is inconvenient, the biggest letdown is that the lights aren't as bright as I had hoped. I suppose I could add more (I already have eight in a 16X32' pool), but I'd have to switch to rechargeable batteries (the cost of three batteries each multiplied by the number of lights multiplied by the frequency with which they'll need to be replaced will be enormous). So when I add the cost of the rechargeable AAs to the cost of purchasing more lights, I'm not sure it's worth it. I also wish they had done more. br>br> They should be able to "chase" or have other effects, in my opinion. I wish there were more of these, but there aren't any. I suppose I'll keep them because they serve a purpose (sort of). I'm just not sure how much more I want to spend on the set itself, let alone the batteries.
I bought these not knowing how well they would work, but I was pleasantly surprised by the results. We installed them in our inground pool and loved the effect it had at night. It's simple to use, and all you have to do is stick the remote to the pool's side and start pushing buttons. There are several light color combinations. I would recommend this product for any underwater operation.
These are fantastic lights. Each light has four suction cups on the back that adhere well to pool tile. br>br>The lights can be set to a variety of colors, shades, and flash patterns. There are also timers on the device. You have the option of turning one or both of them on. The lights shine through the pool and are quite bright. I'm overjoyed, and I'm sure there will be more.
UPDATE! br>br>I contacted the company and explained the situation, and they promptly sent me two new lights at no additional cost. That was extremely helpful, especially since I was planning on returning the damaged one. I left the lights suctioned to the pool tile over night, and all but one were sitting at the bottom of the pool. br>br>Shipment was extremely quick!br>br>I left the lights suctioned to the pool tile over night, and all but one were sitting at the bottom of the pool. This isn't a big deal because we've been removing them after each nightly swim and storing them inside since then. br>br>It feels great to be able to go for an evening swim again! They have excellent customer service! In the future, I might purchase more for our spa. br>br>**********
I only gave it three stars because one of the four lights was out. I've tried brand new batteries, but they don't seem to work. I know it's a problem with the light because those same batteries worked in the other lights. So far, the suction has proven to be quite effective. As you can see in the photo, they emit a lot of light. All I want is for all four lights to turn on.
They're cool, but they don't stay put very well. They don't stick to pebbletec, but they don't last more than a few hours on the waterline tile, and I always find them at the bottom of the pool when I put them on.
This product is quite impressive for the price and, surprisingly, does an AMAZING JOB of lighting up our pool, despite the fact that we only have one of them. HOWEVER, the red does NOTHING in terms of light. That's the only thing I don't like right now. I'm not sure if it's a defect or if the red is just a bad color choice. I sent an email to customer service to see if they would respond.
This light is absolutely stunning. It was a slip of the finger typo, but I should have given it five stars when I first reviewed it! The quality is excellent, and the lighting is ideal; putting it in my tub changed the lighting dramatically. Many light colors and features can be found. It's one of my better purchases, and I'm going to get another one!.
The lights are fine, but they are a deep shade of blue. The only vibrant colors are white and black. When using different modes, the lights do not work in unison. The worst case scenario is that two out of four leak after the first use. I'm a watchmaker, so I know what I'm talking about. I understand how to use a gasket to seal something. They leaked despite my efforts to not overtighten them. I'm very disappointed.
