From time to time, I clean out the tube through which the water flows, and I use the air from the air pump to power my pond bubble filter. The water flow has been blocked by debris in the tubing. Once it's been cleared, it's back to normal.
Mine took three months to remove the finish. I returned it and replaced it with one made of real bamboo with the money I had saved. The noise is bamboo-like. y though
Mine is the source of the commotion.
No, the product description appears to recommend a 90gph pump.

The fact that it's all in one piece is appealing to me. The falling tube is controlled by a long thin bolt, which I must check on a regular basis because it has backed off and fallen into the pool. I didn't like how much water drains out of the pool from the back. I repositioned it, and it now fits perfectly in my peaceful garden. It doesn't make the sound I was hoping for, but it doesn't make the annoying crack that the bamboo fountains did, and it appears to be sturdy and long-lasting. I'm not sorry I bought it.
Update- BUYING JUNKbr>DO NOT PURCHASE! The paint had peeled away, and this is most likely what killed all of my fish. Aquascape provided absolutely no assistance. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I was transferred to an answering machine, where I left a message but received no response. br>br>Thank the Gods, old and new, for allowing me to return it to Amazon.
- Original- br>Excellent product; the rocking bit is connected to the stationary by a gleaming modern bolt and nut. It's a blight on the environment. I'd give it five stars if that was changed.
Pros:
- enhances the appearance of a water feature or pondbr>- works in the same way as the dear scarer, but with real bamboobr>- The tubing is already attached, which is convenient. br>br>Cons:
- After about a month in water, the paint starts to peel off. br>- Because the screw on the "bamboo" keeps moving, the nut eventually comes loose. br>- If your container/pond is not properly situated, water will drip a lot.
As a result, the delivery was extremely quick, which was fantastic. However, for me, the good news came to an end there. br>br>The first picture shouldn't be on here because it's not the same product. br>br>The tipping bamboo part, where your attention will be focused, looks like cheap plastic on the inside, whereas the spout where the water pours out is designed to look like bamboo both on the outside and on the inside. br>Feels solidly attached to the base, but the tipper feels like it's not well put together, even after tightening the br>br>The whole thing is also a little top heavy, so it kept leaning forward in the water, and the water from the spout would pour too far to the right, causing it to not always fill up correctly. br>If it wasn't leaning forward, water would begin to leak out the back of the tipper; I'm not sure if it was due to a crack or the way it was built. br>br>When it did fill up, the tipper is way too shallow, so it fills up too quickly; it wasn't the rhythmic clack every 15 or 30 seconds I expected, but rather an annoying smack every 5 seconds. br>br>To be honest, I expected something at least decent for the better part of $100, but this is anything but. It would be fine if you could get it for $30 and put it in a corner of your garden, but otherwise pass. br>br>I had high hopes for it, but it disappointed me.
Because the tipper and the pourer were not aligned properly, the majority of the water leaked around the tipper. I'll try replacing it with a new one, but if the problem persists, I'll return and get something else. I also dislike that the screw/nut that secures the tipper isn't covered (to conceal it), as this detracts from the natural appearance of a product designed to represent nature and induce calm. For the $70 price tag, I was hoping for more.
I expected a nice water feature for my small outdoor patio pond when I bought this item. To provide balance for better water flow, I needed to glue two small weights to the lower spout. I noticed the fountain was leaning in my pond today, and when I lifted it out, I discovered the back standing pole had broken off at the base. It was a complete waste of money to install this fountain.
This water fountain made of bamboo (resin) is beautiful and functional. However, it lacks a water pump and a water receptacle. They recommend a pump that is far too strong. We finally settled on a pump similar to the one we have in our pet water fountain. On the Pet Safe website, you'll find it.
For weeks, I was unable to get it to function. The results were the same whether I tilted it back, forth, left, or right. I was always stuck in the middle of a game. I glued a nickel to the back of the counter weight because it needed a little more weight, and it's been running fine ever since. 3 stars due to the aggravation and the fact that it was a little pricey for the quality.
